When God Is With Us

When we have a revelation on what it means to be immersed in the ever present Presence of God Almighty Who is our Father, no amount of darkness can triumph against us when it collides with His Light resident in us.  There is no room for darkness to stay.  It should flee seven ways.

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” (Deuteronomy 28:7)

This is the beauty and the reality of being a NEW CREATION in CHRIST.  You and I carry the Light of His presence in us from the very moment we believe and receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

This truth needs to resonate in the depths of our hearts day and night as we meditate His Word which is the Lamp upon our feet and the Light upon our path.  We may be unaware of this actuality and substantiality at times, but this doesn’t mean He stops being our Light and our Salvation, just because we are not mentally conscious of Him.

This is simply akin to the Lord our God Who is eternally God, whether we believe Him or not. He does not stop being God.  God is God and He will forever be.   But, “without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 AMP)

For the past several months, I have been meditating on this Word .. “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.   And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:21)

This journey of earnestly expecting how our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit would manifest Himself day in and day out has been heightened and highlighted in my walk lately, For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His.” (2 Chronicles 16:9 AMP)  In another translation, it says, For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. ” (NIV)

Yes, we always say, we go by faith and not by sight, because by bible definition, Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” (Hebrews 11:1 AMPC) When we have faith in God on a particular thing that He promised, we have the assurance of the outcome. It is never … “maybe it will happen, or maybe not”. When we have faith, the God kind of faith, that’s it! Don’t sweat it! It shall come to pass!

There may be times when we do not see what we are believing for yet. I believe it is because we are still in this journey of knowing how to walk by faith. We are still being trained, equipped and sensitized to the voice of the Holy Spirit Who knows all things, the deep things of God by the power of His Word where spiritual knowledge is gained. He desires for us to know Him deeper and deeper. He wants us to know the Blesser and not run after the blessing, for blessings are added to us when we seek Him first. He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and He rewards us with His presence. He waits for us to be founded and established in Him alone, for God cannot put weight on a weak foundation. A weighty blessing can crush a not ready heart, and the Lord our God knows the appointed time when we will see all His Word that we believe and speak come to pass.

Jesus did not walk on earth doing all the miracles signs and wonders as God, although He is FULLY GOD.

“How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing ALL who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38  AMPC).

He walked on earth as FULLY MAN, anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and Power, that He may demonstrate to us who He created us to be, what a new creation man is capable of doing when he or she is filled with the Holy Spirit. His Word says, “As He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17). He displayed what it means to have the divine nature of God in which we are partakers of. These miracles, signs and wonders are realities that He intended for us to walk in, but they are never achieved independent of Him. He said, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” (John 15:7-8)

With God ALL things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) … this denotes that when we do not have God nor walk with Him in intimacy, in spirit and in truth, we posture ourselves to walk in the zone of impossibility. You and I are created according to His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). Therefore, if there is no impossibility with Him, there shouldn’t be any impossibility with those who believe that nothing is impossible with Him.

 “Jesus said to him, “Ifyou can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23)

Do you know why is this so?  It is because, no word from God shall be void of power.” (Luke 1:37)

 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
(Isaiah 55:10-11)

The question is, do we really believe His Word that says:  when God is in us, for us, with us, upon us, surrounding us, ALL things are possible?  Are our hearts ready to believe to enter into God’s realm and walk in this truth?

However, His Word also says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because they have rejected knowledge… ” (Hosea 4:6). What kind of knowledge then is He talking about? Hmmmm … It is the knowledge of Who He is, the knowledge of who we are to Him, the knowledge of His thoughts and ways, the knowledge of His plans and purposes that we may walk in them, the knowledge of His promises that are “Yes and Amen!”, the knowledge of how great is His love for you and me and the knowledge that nothing and no one can separate us from His love.

Moreover, it is imperative to have the knowledge of the TRUTH that sets us free. What or Who then is the Truth? JESUS is the Way, THE TRUTH and the Life. The Truth is our King, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Who redeemed us from ALL the curses of the law. The Truth is Jesus Who is our Healer Who healed us by the stripes He bore upon His body to pay for ALL our sicknesses and diseases. The Truth is Him being resurrected by the Holy Spirit Who is also dwelling inside of us, quickening our mortal bodies. The Truth is Him giving us the power and authority to trample serpents and scorpions and all the power of the enemy that nothing shall by any means hurt us. The Truth is Jesus is the PERFECT demonstration of GOD’S LOVE for us. The Truth is through our Mediator Jesus Christ, you and I became sons and daughters of the Most High God, that we may come boldly before His throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace in time of need. This Truth is inexhaustible and is discoverable day in and day out, in every step that we take with Him.

But as many as received him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”  (John 1:12-13)

God’s thoughts and ways are higher than ours, therefore, it is to be desired to have knowledge of them as the Holy Spirit unveils our eyes to see through the power of His Word.

What I love about Moses is that God made known His ways to him, and not just his acts.  “What we see is that God made His ways known to and revealed His character to Moses. In other words, Moses got to actually know God Himself.  On the other hand, the people of Israel only saw His acts and deeds- what He did. Israel saw His works, but Moses saw God.”  (Psalm 103:7 NLT)

Do you know that we can only walk in experiential truth with God according to the degree of our knowledge of Him?  When we believe Him as our Provider, we can see His provision manifest.  When we believe Him as our Healer, we can see Him healing our bodies and that of those we pray for.  When we believe Him as our Shield and Protector, we will see Him as the wall of fire around us and the glory within us.  When we believe that He will devour the devourer for our sakes, we shall see it come to pass in our lives.  When we believe that as we walk in the Light of His Presence, darkness will never prevail against us.

A couple of years back, I happened to join this Multi-Level-Marketing company.  Thankfully, I was able to have a few downlines and enjoyed a little bit of action in the arena of sales.

Last month, my direct upline was following up with me regarding the commissions that my downlines received, and so I checked with them. Lo and behold, I witnessed with my own two eyes that their commissions were stolen. Someone took from each of their accounts.

We went right away to the main office to inquire what had happened and all they could answer us was that, checks and products were released with authorization letters from account holders defensively.  Hmmm …. I suddenly strongly discerned that something wrong was going on.

We pressed on to check the issued authorization letters and found out there was only one person’s name that was authorized with falsified documents. All by the grace of God, the person who is handling our case happened to know that authorized person’s name and she, too, has her telephone number. Right away, she called and another person’s name surfaced who allegedly was the mastermind of this anomaly. Oh no, we never accused that particular person who seemed to spearhead this miscalculated scheme since we did not possess any documents to prove what he did. Instead, we came to the throne of the Lord our God, our Savior and our King to help us restore everything. He said, “Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.” (Isaiah 43:26)In the Amplified version, it says, “Put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right).”

To cut the long story short, we were able to get back and recover ALL all by the grace of God!!! Praise the Lord!!!

You see, when we carry the Light of God’s Presence, the scheme of the enemy surely has no other way but be exposed, for no amount of darkness can overcome the Light in us.

When we walk into a pitch black room and turn on the light, darkness flees.  It can never stay.  John 8:12 says, “Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

What we believe, we shall see!  When I believed that He is the Light in me, darkness was conquered and defeated.   David said, “I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of God in the land of the living.”  (Psalm 27:13)  When we go up to the beginning of Psalm 27 verses 1-3, it says,

The Lord is my Light and my Salvation;
Whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

The enemy may have traps and strategies that are unknown to us, but our confidence lies on the One Who knows ALL things wherein nothing is hidden from Him. He is our Good Shepherd Who goes before us to straighten our paths and level our ways. He even has redemptive solutions ever-ready to be performed before we pray. All He needs from us is to have faith and believe in Him, how mindful He is of us that even the number of hairs on our heads, He knows. You and I are the apple of His eyes, the object of His affection and attention. He cares for us affectionately and cares about us watchfully. Why then be afraid? He Who is in us is Greater! He Who loves us is Mightier!

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” (John 3:16 AMPC)

Jesus Christ was given to the world because God never desires for anyone to perish but for everyone to have eternal life. All the while, I thought eternal life only means living and being with Him for all eternity after we pass on. But, as I pressed on and progressed in my revelation knowledge of His Word, eternal life is our experiential KNOWLEDGE of God and experiential KNOWLEDGE of Jesus Christ while we are living on this earth . His Word says, “Now this is eternal life: that they KNOW You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)

As we celebrate Christmas, may we come to know deeper and deeper the very reason why God gave us the Darling of Heaven and experience His deep love for you and me. Jesus came, born as a Man, that we, as children of men, may have and enjoy life in abundance, to the full, till it overflows. He conquered death, hell and the grave as a Man, anointed by the Holy Spirit, that we, too, can experience a heaven-on-earth life when He said, “It is FINISHED!” He, as the Son of God became the Son of Man, so that we, as sons of men, can become sons and daughters of the Most High God. This is the greatest reality that you and I are born for, to rule and reign on the earth as His sons and daughters anointed by the Holy Spirit,

Jesus Christ, our Savior, came to SAVE us. Many may not know this truth yet what the word SALVATION means, thus, many perish due to lack or even rejection of knowledge. But, the Holy Spirit unveiled our eyes to see Who Jesus is. He is the only One Who has the given ability and capacity to reveal to us this TRUTH.

 “Sozo” is the Greek word for salvation, yet it’s root meaning goes beyond just the forgiveness of sins.  It means saved, made whole, restored, healed, delivered and preserved.

With the testimony that I shared earlier, the truth of salvation was made manifest, just as I have been praying for and pressing in to see His goodness in the land of the living. Truly it is not by our might nor by our power, but by the Spirit of Living God. Praise the Lord, Who is greatly to be praised!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for making Your Presence known to us, filling and flooding us with Your Light that is powerfully radiating through us, exposing every scheme of darkness, for You said that we shall not be ignorant of the enemies’ plans when we walk with You.  Thank You, Jesus, that You came to this world to save us, to heal us and deliver us from all destruction, for in You is the Fountain of Life and in Your Light we see light.  Thank You, Holy Spirit, for continually revealing to us the Truth of Who Jesus is and what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we shall be called children of God; and such WE ARE!  Amen!
