“Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:8-12)
“For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 Voice)
Eternal damnation and destruction cannot be denied, therefore, the Lord our God Who deeply loves us had in mind His unfailing redemptive solution to save all of us even before the foundation of this world. He never desired for anyone to perish, but for all to come to eternal life, for all to experience the victory that He won for us, for all to intimately walk with Him in His plans and purposes personally created for each one of us and for all to come home to His embrace and be a part of His glorious divine family, Him as our Father, and you and I as His sons and daughters.
God never created man to be far from Him. In truth, Adam and Eve walked with Him in the cool of the day. They were always in His presence, until the day came when disobedience got the better of them as they bowed down to the dictates of the enemy in the form of a serpent.
But God Who is rich in mercy and abounding in love, gave His only Son, that we may once again be united with Him and this time, it is for eternity. He gave His only Son, that we may come to know Him as Jesus is the exact representation of Himself, to know our divine identity in Him that is established, rooted, grounded, and can never be shaken. It is the ultimate identity that He has for us that no man can make changes, adjustments, alterations, and no man can dictate or modify. This is the identity where there is no shifting shadows as it is established by the Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ, for without the shedding of the Blood, there is no remission of sin. This is the identity that everyone longs to have, that even our thoughts and actions cannot undo what Jesus did at the cross 2000 years ago, when we believe and receive Him as our Lord and Savior.
We always hear preachers say, “There’s nothing we can do that can make God love us more. There’s nothing we can do that can make Him close the door.” In Christ, this truth is absolute, perfect, powerful and pure. This is the Good News that is too good to be true, thus, it takes faith to believe how Good He is, how powerful He is and that He is good and powerful to you and to me, in which He makes Himself known as He manifests His being to and through us. The infusion of this divine change, a victorious living, will not remain a theory but we experience Him, for He lives in us individually and He lives in us corporately as a church.
In this world that we are living in, there are many voices around us that will try to mold us according to the very way they think and they want us to live. We suffer when we go by what people say about us. The roar of this world creates pressure with fear and anxiety. But, if we put our hope and trust on the finished work of Jesus Christ, the Roar of the Lion of Judah births within us faith, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
“Do not allow this world to mold you in its own image. Instead, be transformed from the inside out by renewing your mind. As a result, you will be able to discern what God wills and whatever God finds good, pleasing, and complete.” (Romans 12:2 Voice)
Jesus Christ, our Savior, came to SAVE us. Many may not know this truth yet what the word SALVATION means, thus, many perish due to lack or even rejection of knowledge. But, the Holy Spirit unveiled our eyes to see Who Jesus is. He is the only One Who has the given ability and capacity to reveal to us this TRUTH.
“Sozo” is the Greek word for salvation, yet it’s root meaning goes beyond just the forgiveness of sins. It means saved, made whole, restored, healed, delivered and preserved.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalm 103:1-3)
Truly, when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, a powerful divine exchange is at hand, a powerful sound doctrine that cannot be tossed and turned once believed. Our compass will point to the right direction and our hands will be on the deck.
In darkness, JESUS is our Light.
In confusion and in doubt, JESUS is the Truth and Surety of our souls. He guides us with His eye.
In sickness, JESUS is the Healer and He is Healing to our bodies by the stripes that He bore on His body. He came in the flesh to redeem our flesh.
In poverty and lack, JESUS is Provision. He was made poor that you and I may be made rich.
In hatred and division, JESUS is Love personified Who unifies us in the truth of Who He is. He is the Prince of Peace.
In despair, JESUS is the Hope of Glory, the Hope that never disappoints us as we anchor ourselves in Him.
In danger, JESUS is our Strong Tower that we can run to and be safe and protected.
In sin, JESUS saves us and makes us the righteousness of God in Him. He justifies us by the Power of His Blood that sets us free.
If you read and meditate Psalm 91, He is all Who He says He is, the Most powerful One whose power nothing can come against.
JESUS is Way-Maker, Miracle-Worker, Promise-Keeper, Sea-Opener, Mountain-Mover, Debt-Canceller, Power-Manifester!!!
JESUS turns our mourning into dancing. He turns our sorrow into joy. Now we’re singing and we’re dancing and will shout for joy.
“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” (Psalm 30:11-12)
Before this year ends, may we come to know and receive JESUS CHRIST as our Lord and Savior, the Best Gift that our Heavenly Father has given and experientially walk in the truth of Who He says He is. He is IN us, WITH us, FOR us, UPON us and AROUND us, who then can dare be against us.
In Christ, we become the salt and light of the earth as He is The Light living inside of us. It is not by our might nor by our power, but by the Holy Spirit. We, as a church, we salt the earth. We salt means: We preserve and stop the decay, for as Jesus is, so are we in this world.
The effect of our salvation is not only limited to our own. He saves us for Himself, to be set apart for His purpose and holy use. He saves us to take our rightful place, given the power and authority to trample serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy that nothing shall by any means hurt us and the ones He called us to influence and intercede.
The whole earth is groaning for the revealing sons and daughters of God Who know their identity in Christ, for this world in serious severe pain. It is in deep darkness that no man can comprehend.
Christ in us, the Hope of Glory, is actively resident in the lives of those who believe. We were crucified with Him, nevertheless we live, yet not us, but Christ lives in us, that the lives that we live, we live in the faith of the Son of God Who loved us and Who gave Himself for us. (Galatians 2:20)
Are we ready to fight a good fight of faith? Are we ready to arise and shine? The Savior of the world has come! The Light of the world has come! The Hope of Glory is in our midst and He is might to save.
“Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.” ( Isaiah 60:1-3)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You, for giving me Your only Begotten, Beloved, Precious Son, Jesus, as You see me as Your Precious-Prized Possession, the object of Your attention and affection. Thank You, Jesus, for saying “Yes” to the Father, for the joy that was set before You, You endured the cross, because You knew that only IN YOU we may be reconciled to intimacy once again, to walk with You in the cool of the day. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for revealing to me Who Jesus is, the Love of God personified, that I may walk victoriously consistently according to the glorious path that You have ordained for me. Amen!
