By Faith

Jesus Christ is the anointed only Begotten Son of God sown into the world two thousand years ago because of our Heavenly Father’s great love for mankind.  He gave His own Beloved Son with an expectation that He will reap a harvest of a multitude of sons and daughters into His Kingdom, that’s you, me and a lot more, where His love will be purposefully and unconditionally spent.

Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).  He was the only way to Redemption, reconciling God and mankind in peace that is beyond comprehension, and that was God’s divine integral plan and providence way before humanity’s fall.  God knew we needed a Savior to restore us back to Himself, thus He freely gave us One, nothing less than His very own Son.

“Jesus said to him, “I Am The way, The truth, and The life. No one comes to The Father except through Me.”  (John `4:6)

As Christ the Hope of Glory indwells us through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, our lives are similarly sown into this world to carry and diffuse the fragrance of His love until the whole earth is filled with the knowledge of His amazing love and glory as the waters cover the sea.  As He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

We are His living epistles written by the hand of God to be read by those around us.

When a farmer sows seeds in his farm, he has a definite purpose in mind with an expectation to have a bountiful harvest.  Otherwise, why sow or plant?  He takes into consideration the seeds, the ground, the timing, the irrigation, the location, fertilization and a lot more.   This is never done without planning and preparation.  It is carefully calculated with all the farmer’s love and passion put into action.

When our Heavenly Father gave us Jesus, the Darling of heaven, Who came, redeemed us from the bottomless pit, saved and took us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His marvelous light (Colossians 1:13), He knew it was the perfect time for a great harvest.  The glory that was being displayed in such a time as then and the time in which we are in now is matchless, for the joy that was set before Him, Jesus endured the cross (Hebrews 12:2), knowing that in His full obedience to the Father, He would reconcile and bring everlasting peace between God and man.  Jesus, The Seed, Who knew no sin became sin so that you and I may become the righteousness of God in Christ (1 Corinthians 5:21).  This is our divine identity only made possible when we acknowledge and make Him Lord and Savior of our lives.  He is The Way and there is no other way.  It is only by grace through faith.  It is only He Who is able to keep us from stumbling, slipping and falling away, and bring us sinless, blameless and perfect into His glorious presence with mighty shouts of exceeding and everlasting joy (Jude 1:24 TLB).

When I came across this verse in Jude 1:24, I couldn’t help myself but pause, think, meditate and rejoice with a grateful heart.  Can you imagine how our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shouts mightily with everlasting, triumphant, unspeakable, ecstatic joy and delight every time we come into God’s glorious presence?  Oh how He delights and takes pleasure witnessing us come boldly before the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace in time of need, always met by our Heavenly Father’s embrace, attention and affection all because His Blood made us sinless, blameless and perfect.  How He delights to see us partaking of what He made available for us that fully loaded us with benefits. It is His shed Blood at the cross that made us worthy to enter in with confidence to fellowship with the One Who loves us most and this spiritual reality is guaranteed forevermore.  It is our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ revealed to us by the Holy Spirit that makes us see ourselves the very way God sees us in Christ.  In Christ, our Father sees and loves us just as He sees and loves Jesus without shifting shadows.

No wonder, Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you except a man be born again, he cannot SEE the kingdom of God.”  (John 3:3).  “Verily, verily, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5).  “For the KINGDOM OF GOD is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17)

Apart from being washed by the blood of the Lamb of God, we cannot see and experience what it means to be the righteousness of God in Christ, presented perpetually perfect before the presence of the Lord our God.

When we fall short, in Christ, there is now no more condemnation, but a conviction that we are new creations in Him.  We repent for what we did, get up and turn into the path of His will and way, with grateful hearts for His grace is always sufficient.

The old things have passed away; behold the new has come into being (2 Corinthians 5:17).   Gone are the days when we put pressure on ourselves to be pleasing to God in and of our own ability.  See what the Bible says, Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

If we desire to please God, we ought to have the faith of God. It is faith that opens the door for the power of God to move in our lives. It is the hand that takes what grace has made available.

Faith is the currency in God’s kingdom.  Everything operates by Faith.  When one becomes a believer of Jesus Christ, a measure of the God-kind of faith is given.  This is not wishful thinking. It is the kind of faith that is substantiated.  It is the kind of faith that Jesus operated in, teaching, preaching and healing the sick and they all recovered.  It is the kind of faith that when Jesus told Peter, “Cone”, Peter walked on water at His Word. It is the kind of faith that when Jesus spoke to the fig tree, it dried up from its roots.  Yes, this is the God-category faith that was given to us in Christ.  It is the assurance!  It is the confirmation!  It is the title deed!   “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”  (Hebrews 11:1 AMPC)

This is one vital revelation that we are to partake of, faith, for the gospel of peace, reconciling humanity to our God the Father is at hand for us to acknowledge and live out, but it is only accessible BY FAITH.  The joy of the Lord is being made available for us to explore and experience through the Holy Spirit, Who is the revealer of all truth BY FAITH.  When we walk by faith and not by sight, this becomes our God-reality.  Indeed, “the just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17) Glory! Glory! Glory to the Living God!

If we look at Hebrews 11 … lots of the verses start with these words, “By faith.”

3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.

21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.

22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.

23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.

29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.

30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.

31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.

32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.

This is why to progressively know what it means to live by faith is essential to a believer.  It is not meant to believe for something that we can do on our own.  But, it is designed for the impossible made possible because we are wired for this God-kind of faith when we are in Christ. It is faith that puts God to work.

In Christ, we see and perceive things differently.  Our spiritual eyes see and we operate in a higher reality when we became born again, born anew, born of God with the Holy Spirit, the mighty power, manifester and performer resident in us.  It postures us to believe and walk where there is no ceiling to this God-kind of faith that He gifted. us.

“In Christ, there is ALL OF GOD in a human body; so you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ.  He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power.” (Colossians 2:9-10 TLB)

All of God in a human body means all of God in the body of Jesus Christ and God put Christ in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1;27), therefore, we are filled with fullness of the Godhead.  With mere human intellect, this is unacceptable, but by faith, with a renewed mind according to the Word through the revelation from the Holy Spirit, this is reality.   This is the new covenant, that God will write His laws into our minds so that we will know His will, and He will put His laws in our hearts so that we will want to obey them (Hebrews 10:16).  And then, He added, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.” (Hebrews 10:17 TLB).  Ohhh the love of Christ that surpasses all understanding. Ohhh what good news this is for us.

I thought, why is it important for God to mention that He will never again remember our sins and lawless deeds?  Hmmmm … because He gave us all hope that we are welcome to come to His throne anytime. In the same way, we are to think how He thinks of us, blameless in Christ. If we keep remembering our sins, it tarnishes our identity that affects our confidence to run to Him.  He desires for us to come up higher and have a renewed mind that Jesus paid for all our sins ONCE AND FOR ALL.  He delights in seeing us, in fact greatly rejoices with shouts of everlasting joy, when we walk worthy of what He had completely accomplished and procured for us.  We may miss every now and then, but we are to always remember that we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous.” (1John 2:1b)

An Advocate is a Lawyer.  When we mess up, He makes appeals, files motions and defends us.  He is the fulfiller of the Law and is actively rooting for us for He already ransomed us by His shed Blood at the cross.  He is The God of all universe Who is our Personal Lawyer, and as far as I can remember, He always WINS.  He never loses a battle. He reigns Victorious forevermore.

If and when we believe and have faith in what He has spoken in His Word, we shall SEE.  If we are not on this road of believing yet, an open invitation is constantly issued for us to believe and receive the One True Savior Jesus Christ, for “Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a PERFORMANCE of those things which were told her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:45 KJV)

Jesus Who is the exact representation of the Father came to reveal the very heart of God Who sent Him, Who desired for no one to perish but for all to come to eternal life.  He desires for all His sons and daughters to be none-feeble, none-weak and none-sick.  His will is for us to live abundantly supplied and provided for according to His riches in glory through Christ.  He longs for us to be identified and certified FREE from the grasps of oppression, depression, fear, anxiety, loneliness and the pressures that this world brings, for He cares for us affectionately and cares about us watchfully. He permanently liberates us from dominion of sin, vices, addictions, deceptions and bondages. Whom the Son sets free is FREE INDEED! (John 8:36)

Thank You, Jesus!

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us The Seed of Life, Jesus Christ.   Jesus, with open heart, I repent for bypassing You for Who You are.  Now, I receive You as my Lord and Savior, King and Deliverer, Healer and Redeemer, my Advocate and my all in all.  Holy Spirit, I ask You to reveal to me the truth of Who Jesus is, Who I am in Him, what His will for me so I will be a conduit of what He desires to do through me.  I know this is never by my might nor by my power, but by You, God the Holy Spirit.  With much expectations, I shall SEE, because this is one of the very great promises I am invited to believe and receive when I am IN CHRIST.  Amen!
