Early this morning, I was awakened by these words resonating in my heart, “The renewing of your mind is an equipping tool for you to walk by faith.” I immediately took out my journal and scribbled these words. I always long to hear His voice from His very own mouth with a message that comes from His very own lips.
“And he said, The God of our forefathers has destined and appointed you to come progressively to know His will [to perceive, to recognize more strongly and clearly, and to become better and more intimately acquainted with His will], and to see the Righteous One (Jesus Christ, the Messiah), and to hear a voice from His [own] mouth and a message from His [own] lips …” (Acts 22:14 AMPC)
When we hear Him speak, He is calling us to go deeper into our walk with Him. He is training us to meditate on what we heard and be reverently responsive to it. We are to earnestly consider what we heard for His Word spoken is timely and is most vital to our very next step.
“All these things my hand has made,
and so all these things came to be,
declares the Lord.
But this is the one to whom I will look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit
and trembles at My word.” (Isaiah 66:2 ESV)
The written Word of God is for all of us to meditate on. But, there are certain revelations that are personally our own directives, for we have different callings with His distinct ways for us to follow. There are no clones in the Kingdom of God. Each one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made. Each one of us is His masterpiece and He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago (Ephesians 2:10).
The renewing of our minds according to His Word is a vitality if we want to walk according to His will. The thoughts and intents of our hearts need to be in congruency to His, otherwise we cannot move in rhythm with His. “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? (Amos 3:3)
His thoughts and ways are higher than ours and He desires for us to tap into His, not by our own might nor by our own power, but by the Spirit of God. He sent His Word so that we can know His will by the revelations brought forth by the Holy Spirit resident in us. He always issues us an invitation to ascend, for He never intends to leave us where He found us. “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” (Revelation 4:1) He yearns for us to partake of His best for each one of us and His best is written in His Word.
Before I went on a trip last August, I did not see yet the full provision for my fare and pocket money. More so, there were some things that I was concerned about considering I would be away for ten days since August is within the rainy season when typhoons come and go. My house, car and everything else would be left behind with no one to attend to.
But, one morning when I was praying and partaking of communion, I was speaking out loud declaring, “Lord, I know that Your blood still speaks to today”, and in a moment I had this unction from deep within me saying, “YOU ARE MINE!” Hmmmm … I paused and responded, “Amen and Amen! Thank You, Lord!”
Then, I asked Him, “What do you mean by this, Lord?” And a gentle reply came (an unction), “You are Mine! You are no longer your own. I bought You at a steep price that no one else could, My blood. Your upcoming trip is Mine! Your house is Mine! Your car is Mine! Your debts are Mine! Your body (every cell, bone, organ, tissue etc) are Mine!” In an instant, an overwhelming peace filled every fiber of my being. I entered His rest because I heard Him speak.
What we hear causes our faith to arise and respond. Cares and worries dissipated at His Word. The voice of His Word, the roar of The Lion of the tribe of Judah, Jesus, silenced everything else. My thoughts, words and declarations became aligned to what He said. The more I declared, the more those words were embedded. The more I heard myself declaring His Word, the more I got fortified.
And so, I went for my trip with joy and was led forth with peace (Isaiah 55:12).
When I came back from my trip, all was well with no typhoons, no floods and yes, there came full provision for my trip in the most amazing way. Glory and praise to our Living King Jesus!
In every challenge that we face, there is always a corresponding divine provision that will come in the revelation of His Word. He is our EVER PRESENT HELP in time of need. He has an ever-ready Word for us if we only run to Him and seek Him first. He indeed a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
This is the primary reason why we need to renew our minds to be able to allow His will to flow in and through us, manifesting Himself according to His word spoken to us.
The revelation and impartation of His word brings transformation in our lives only when we say YES to what He is saying. “Yes” means revering, believing, receiving, meditating His Word and taking it further to willingly obey in action what has been said.
“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.” (Romans 12:2 TPT)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for always inclining Your ears to hear us and responding to our query through the indwelling of Your Spirit in us. Thank You, Jesus, for always caring for us affectionately, caring about us watchfully and for interceding for us that our faith will not fail. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for interceding for us that we may walk in the perfect will of God by Your leading and guidance. Amen!
