“This Time” is a song I originally wrote long time ago for someone who was believing for her personal breakthrough. I held onto it with the thought that when that moment finally came, I would share it with her. But that day never came, as she went home to be with the Lord sooner than I had thought.
“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” (Isaiah 60:22)
I paused and pondered. I chose not to move forward with developing the song to its full potential in spite of it having been professionally arranged. Instead, I set it aside to be picked up at a later time.
Years later, I felt it was time to give it fresh breath and rewrote the lyrics. When I finished, I set down my pen and once again placed it on the shelf, waiting to see if the words would continue to resonate in my heart over time.
December 8, 2025 marked the birthday of the musical arranger I deeply admired for his excellent and beautiful work. He, too, had gone home to be with the Lord a couple of years earlier. Each time I listen to every note he crafted, my heart is warmed, grateful for the opportunity to have my song arranged by him.
That day was when I finally made up my mind to record and publish it.
The decisions we make play a vital role in our lives, as they set the course for where we are headed. When we sense from deep within us a prompting to take a step forward, we willingly obey and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. When we do, He surprises us with open doors we never imagined before.
His Word says, “He knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.
My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and have not turned aside.” (Job 23:10-11)
While I was recording, I felt inspired to infuse harmony to the piece. I remembered my cousin’s husband, who played guitar and provided backing vocals on their cover of “Grown-Up Christmas List,” and it felt right to have him be part of it. I sent him a message right away asking if he would be willing and have the time to do it. Lo and behold, his answer was affirmative.
See, the Lord knows and sees the end from the beginning. All we need to do is just like what David did, “One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.” (Psalm 27:4)
The master mixer came on board, along with the front cover designer. The copyright was secured, and at last, “This Time” was published.
In the course of listening to my published song, a new revelation was birthed. The lyrics breathed a new meaning.
“This Time” does not just only mean when we experientially see the breakthrough that we are believing for. There is much more to it. Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I say unto you, Whatsoever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” This denotes that we have them when we believe and receive them, not when we see them. Hmmmmm …
In every battle, there is victory already won! This is a “This Time” moment.
In every problem, there is a divine promise guaranteed! This is a “This Time” moment.
In every season, there is fruitfulness without fail! This is a “This Time” moment.
In every way, He is the Way Who makes a way! This is a “This Time” moment.
In every weakness, His strength is perfect! This is a “This Time” moment.
In every sickness, He is Healing and the Healer! This is a “This Time” moment.
In every low moment, He makes us see we are far-above seated in Christ in the heavenly places! This is a “This Time” moment.
The Lord our God is always with us, walking with us in the cool of the day, fighting the battles for us, protecting us being the wall of fire around us, caring for us affectionately, caring about us watchfully and above all, He is LOVING US STEADFASTLY.
Our every step is to be a “This Time” moment.
“My foot has held fast to His steps;
I have kept His way and have not turned aside.
I have not departed from the commandment of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion of food.
But He is unchangeable, and who can turn Him back?
What He desires, that He does.
For He will complete what He appoints for me,
and many such things are in His mind.” (Job 23:11-14)
We count it all JOY! We rejoice always and again we say, REJOICE! In everything, we give THANKS!
THE BEST TIME TO WORSHIP IS “THIS TIME”! THE BEST TIME TO WORSHIP IS ALL THE TIME! THE LORD OUR GOD IS WORTHY OF ALL GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISE!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being our Abba, Daddy God, Who deserves all our love, all our attention, all our affection, all our devotion and all our adoration. In You, we live and move and have our being. Thank You, Jesus, for being the Word made flesh, that every time we speak, proclaim and declare a personal-revealed Word, we proclaim You, Your Name and Your promises that are Yes and Amen over our every circumstance. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for always moving in our midst, making known to us and reminding us that we belong to the One True God and Jesus Christ Whom He sent. Amen!
