The horizontal part of the cross cannot stand by itself without the vertical part. That means that our relationship with the Lord Jesus is vital to our relationship with others.
How do you really value others? I believe this is only effectively possible when you know and feel that you are valuable. How do you then value yourself? It is when someone GREATER saw you valuable and demonstrated it by giving up His own life to win you with His love. Jesus endured the cross for the JOY that was set before Him that with His finished work, the veil was torn so that you and I can come near Him and be IN HIM just as He can be with us and IN US.
Intimacy is His ultimate goal. That’s the reason why the devil is up to destroy intimacy and communion with Jesus because once we get connected to Him and have a revelation that there is NOTHING and NO ONE can separate us from His love, it magnanimously affects our relationship with others. Why is the enemy after separation and division? It’s all because power comes when we’re united in the love of Christ. He knows that we become unstoppable as the whole world is groaning for the revealing sons of God who love like Jesus loves.
KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED! KNOW THAT YOU ARE VALUED! How God sees you affects how you see others! How He values you affects how you value others! How He loves you affects how you love others! It all starts with you being a RECEPIENT first before you become a GIVER, LOVED before becoming a LOVER!
“God NEVER overlooks a single one. and He pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail – even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. YOU’RE WORTH more than a million canaries.” Luke 12:7 MSG
love this and exactly what God is saying to me at the moment. when we understand our value to HI’m then our identity is settled and we don’t seek validation in activity or other relationships. we then value others more and share the One who makes it all possible. thanks for sharing
