“Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 AMPC
Our greatest challenge in life after being saved by the power of the finished work of Jesus Christ is how to walk in conscious and constant awareness of His presence.
In this world, the enemy is likened to a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour. He throws sudden unexpected situations before us that cause us to be overcome by fear and anxiety. To him, it is just his job because that is who he is, a forever defeated foe and he wants an entourage of losers. Until we are fully persuaded who God called us to be, victors and not victims, constantly and consistently creating new thought patterns to see ourselves victorious in everyway, chances are, we succomb into the the lying persuasive power of the enemy.
There is always a constant battle that happens in our minds, thus, the Lord gave us keys how to overcome it.
“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.” (Romans 12:2 TPT)
He gave us keys to bind thoughts that are contrary to His Word. He gave us keys to renew our thinking according to the Spirit-breathed Word and speak them into our situations to loose His redemptive and overcoming power.
His Word is truth that needs to be always thought of and meditated on that brings sanctified thoughts and transforms our lives.
I had a minor renovation in my house lately. Two days before it was finished, while I was at work, I called up my contractor to see how everything was coming along. To my surprise he told me that one of the workers slipped and was injured by a metal thing. Hmmmm … the first thing that rushed into my mind was extra expense. Fear gripped me thinking of what may happen to him.
But God Who is rich in mercy and abounding in love came to my rescue speedily. The Holy Spirit quickened me to think differently. He simply said, “Take authority over the situation. Pray and lay hands on him and he will recover. The prayer of the righteous avails much. It has tremendous power and dynamic in working.” Thank You, Jesus!
Oh how the the perfect love of God casts our all my fears away for there is NO FEAR IN LOVE. His love assures us that ALL IS WELL, that He is with us, never leaving us nor forsaking us, that He never lets us down, that He anoints us to think like He thinks, speak what He speaks and do what He does. He allows us to tap into His heavenly thoughts and ways that are higher and superior by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. He reveals to us of what is to come and the things that He has freely given us. He reminds us that we have the power and authority to trample serpents and scorpions and all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us.
Before I knew it, my heart was at rest and in perfect peace because He redirected my mind to be set upon Him.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV)
The very next morning before I left for work, I saw the injured worker limping with a bandage at the sole of his foot. I drew near to him and told him that I would like to pray for him. He smiled and with an open heart, he came to face me. I held the worker’s hand, prayed for him and layed hand on him to pray for his healing by the stripes of Jesus Christ. Then, I had the wonderful opportunity and privilege to lead him to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and blessed him monetarily. He not only received words of healing but WHOLENESS in spirit, soul and and body.
Indeed all things work together for our good and for the good of those who love Him. Who would have thought that such divine plan was at hand. But as we grow in the knowledge of Him, He causes our eyes to see differently and postures our hearts to beat in rhythm as His.
What the enemy meant for evil, to bring fear and anxiety, our Heavenly Father turned it to GOOD. The situation instead brought faith and gave me a glorious opportunity to touch someone’s life!
Truly fearful and anxious thoughts melt in the light of His presence. Our connectedness and dependence on Him is the key.
I love how Sarah Young, the author of Jesus Calling, wrote about dependence. She said, “In the world, dependency is seen as immaturity. But in God’s kingdom, dependence on Him is a prime measured maturity.”
Be constantly and continually reminded that when we draw near to Him, SURELY He will draw near to us. (James 4:8) Develop the art of looking and listening for His ever-present participation in everything we do. The more we seek Him, the more we find Him. The more we find Him, the more joyful our days become.
Be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Meditate His word day and night.
The Word of God is the will of God.
The Word of God is the wisdom of God.
The Word of God the breath of God.
The Word of God is the truth that when Jesus is continually revealed in, to and through us by the Holy Spirit, from faith to faith, from heart to heart, from vision to vision, from testimony to testimony, it is the assurance of our everlasting awareness and fellowship with HIM.
Once our Bridegroom King Jesus captures our hearts with His love, it is to eternity. There is NO TURNING BACK! It is a ONE WAY street! The Holy Spirit’s presence and power at work in us both to will and to do what He desires of us can never be overtaken. The same power Who raised Jesus from the dead lives inside us and is able to quicken and give LIFE to us in abundance to the full, till it overflows to others
Sometimes our initial reaction may be inferior to what is expected of a believer who believes, but God’s grace is always sufficient to redirect our minds and hearts to respond rightfully and in faith when we seek Him with all of our hearts. He rewards us with His redemptive and love-powered ways.
The next, next day, I once again saw the worker, no longer injured and limping, but healed in the mighty name of Jesus!
Indeed what we believe, we are empowered to see, not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God.
