God Is Mindful

We are to posture ourselves to hear from God. At this point in time, we can no longer afford to be tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. We are to be intentional in our pursuit of Him, awaiting to hear His voice in the innermost part of our being.

The Word of God is not just to be seen as any other book to read.  It is living and powerful as we allow His Word to be lived in and through our lives by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, translating it to our daily encounters and experiences with Him.  It is our manual of life.  It is the nearness of God through His spoken word to us.  “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (Romans 10:8).  It is about meeting with the One Who loves us the most with His plans and purposes for us.  It is all about meeting the very Author of the Word, the very Author of our lives.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, I know them and they follow Me.”  (John 10:27) That means we have been created and fashioned to hear Him when we acknowledge Him as our Lord.

Our Father’s Day

“Think of it this way: if your son asked you for bread, would you give him a stone? Of course not—you would give him a loaf of bread.  If your son asked for a fish, would you give him a snake? No, to be sure, you would give him a fish—the best fish you could find.  So if you, who are sinful, know how to give your children good gifts, how much more so does your Father in heaven, who is perfect, know how to give great gifts to His children!” (Matthew 7:9-11 Voice)

Today is “Father’s Day” when we celebrate our earthly Daddies.  In church, the joyful fathers were prayed over and celebrated.  In restaurants, many promotions were offered to celebrate the loving fathers.  Households have parties to salute the responsible men of the house.  Many bought gifts to honor the highly regarded fathers.

Happy Father’s Day to all the love-infused fathers.

Power-Infused Prayer

Never forsake the place of prayer where His thoughts and ways are revealed to us.  Let prayer be on top of our list.

Never underestimate the power of our prayer.  The Bible says,  “The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” (James 5:16 AMP)

When God Is With Us

“The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man ..” ( Genesis 39:2)

When we and the world around us think that we are at the brink of hopelessness, seemingly the end of a thing, look up, seek the Lord and gain His perspective.  His thoughts and ways are higher than ours and when we find time to diligently seek Him and the truth of His Word, it changes the way we think to conform into His when the Holy Spirit opens our spiritual eyes to see what He sees.

When where we are at the moment does not yet reflect what He has promised us, then, it is not the end.  It is not the world that dictates the end of a thing.  It is the SEED of God’s Word that dictates the end of a thing.  It’s the WORD directly spoken and revealed into our hearts that dictates the end of a thing, and it is always in a place of rich fulfillment.

Seek Him FIRST

“The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”  (Haggai 2:9)

THE END OF A THING IS GREATER!  This is a principle of God that cannot be thwarted for He is the God of increase, the God of progression, the God Who takes us from faith to faith, from strength to strength, from glory to glory.

This world cannot dictate to us how the end will be, unless we allow it to.  It does not matter where we are at at the moment.  We do not despise small beginnings.   We are not to be affected much with what is going on around us.  Instead, we choose to be influenced and be convinced that our God has greater plans for us.  We choose to believe and have faith for a greater tomorrow because the One Who holds and directs us busies Himself with our every step.  We choose to soar higher than the storms of life as we are called to be eagles fueled by the grace of God, the Wind underneath our wings.

Your Prayer, Your Seed

“Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer.” (Daniel 10:12 NLT)

We all approach the throne of God in prayer and many of those that we prayed for have not come to fruition yet.  The challenge is in the waiting when we see that nothing is changing.  It may seem a permanent obstacle, but the good news is that our HOPE is in the One Who never disappoints.  We need to shift our focus from the bigness of our problem that is temporary to the bigness of our God Who is eternal.  We choose to walk by faith and not by sight.  We go by what the Lord our God promised us in His Word.  We need to be fully persuaded that the very moment we made known our requests to God, He heard our cry and surely His answers are on the way.  So, fear not, little flock.   We rest in His everlasting love and faithfulness.

Identify With Christ

The life of a Christian is NEVER independent of Jesus Christ. It is being constantly and consistently connected with Him, identifying with Him every step of the way. It is being self sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.

“I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” (Philippians 4:13 AMPC)

Fear Not!

God’s Kingdom runs in the currency of faith that knows no bounds.

Faith is a by-product of meditating on what God’s word says.  “Faith comes by hearing and hearing through the Word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17 ESV) Fear is a by-product of meditating on the natural.

Faith is a by-product of seeing our limitless God Who is with us, in us and for us.  It sees beyond the obvious.  Fear is a by-product of seeing the limitations around us.

Faith looks at God and believes in Him.  Fear looks at the circumstances and believes in it.

The choice is ours.   What are we meditating on?  What are we seeing?  What are we believing? What are we feeding ourselves with?

The Lord Is Willing

“And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean. Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” (Matthew 8:2-3 NKJV)

Majority of us believe that God is able to heal us.  But, many among us still struggle and are in deep doubt if He is willing.  This may be so because of our own experiences and that of others.  We have seen people around us who called upon Him for healing and were healed, yet some were not.  If this is what we are seeing, do we go by faith, seeking to see beyond the obvious? Or do we choose to go by sight?
