Conformed To His Image

“You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way,
and in kindness you follow behind me
to spare me from the harm of my past.
With your hand of love upon my life,
you impart a blessing to me.”  (Psalm 139:5 TPT)

Only the Lord knows then end from the beginning.  It is only He Who foreknew us before the foundation of the world.

“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He predestined, these He called, whom He called, these He also justified; whom He justified, these He glorified.”  (Romans 8:29-30)

Our wonderful journey is discovering the unique path that leads us to be like Jesus.  This is what we are predestined for, to mirror His thoughts and ways, to demonstrate His love, mercy, grace and power, as we continually fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

Our roads may cross paths or sometimes even go congruent for a time and season, but there is none that is identical.  We are encouraged to put on the shoes that He has cut out for us and walk in it.  We cease comparison for it kills relationships.  We are meant to complement and not compete, to complete His desire for us.  After all, we are the body of Christ meant to walk together hand in hand, heart to heart, co-laboring with God to bring heaven on earth.  His desire is for the whole earth to be filled with His glory as the water covers the sea.   But until we come to experience His glory and goodness in our own lives, we simply cannot give Him glory.  We cannot give what we do not have.

If we look around, there are too many things that look contrary to what we are expecting to see.  At times we see human rights being exalted extensively that humans become like gods undermining the reality that we have a GOD Who deeply loves and cares and can turn things around for our favor.  The world is becoming so human-power-focus, taking matters into our hands, doing things in and of our own ability, making decisions without divine intervention.  Thus, when we see limitations around us, our default is to exercise control that destroys relationships.

We have entered the season just as the bible says, “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people.” (Isaiah 60:2)

BUT GOD Who is RICH in mercy and abounding in love always have a redemptive solution to everything.  He gave us His Son Jesus Christ to be our LIGHT and our SALVATION

“The LORD is my LIGHT and my SALVATION – whom shall I fear?  The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)

We know that light is absolutely defined as superior to darkness.  Darkness flees faster when LIGHT comes.  Try putting your light switch on at night.  Darkness cannot resist the power of light.  It gives way in a snap of a finger.  Our God the Father of Lights not only gave us Jesus as our LIGHT, but when Jesus ascended to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to abide in us forever and called us the SALT and LIGHT of the earth.

“You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)

Now is the time when He is calling us to ARISE and SHINE!  The whole world is groaning for the revealing sons and daughters of the Most High God to take our rightful place.

“Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”  (Isaiah 60:1-3)

How do we do it then?  It is when we are filled and flooded with the richest measure of His divine presence in the power of the Holy Spirit.  It is when we are completely infused with the Light of His presence.  It is when we get ourselves consistently and constantly soaked in His presence, continually feasting His Word that is the lamp upon our feet and the light unto our path.  Being immersed in His love allows us to diffuse such fragrance that changes the atmosphere everywhere our feet will tread upon.

We definitely do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12)  The presence of Jesus, Who is the LIGHT within us radiating through us is the key.  Now, this is what it means to be predestined to be conformed according to the image of His Son.  As He is Light, so are we.  We are carriers of His presence Who is LIGHT.  Whatever we do to the least of our brethren that is fueled by His love, no matter how small and simple it is, we lit them up with His light.

When we see darkness invading our situations, we are armed with His Word as our sword.  “We shall also decide and DECREE a thing, and it shall be established for us; and the LIGHT [of God’s favor] shall SHINE upon our ways. (Job 22:28 AMPC)

The Lord our God’s desire is for the whole earth to be filled with His glory as the waters cover the sea and I believe He is waiting for His revealing sons and daughters to come into maturity in His kingdom.  They are those who are confident in their identity in Christ and can no longer be intimidated by the lies of the enemy.  The roar of the Lion in the tribe of Judah be the voice of final authority in their lives.

Can you imagine ALL OF US taking our stand ALL OVER THE WORLD, making a difference to ONE person at a time, making Jesus known as we get privileged to touch their lives by the power of His Spirit-breathed words.  Imagine yourself as a lit candle touching another candle that has never been lit before.  When the two ignite together, the light becomes brighter.  How much more when all of us arising and shining and lighting up  the ones around us, how glorious it will look.  Never undermine the little things that we do to our brethren.  Just like a SEED, it will always grow.   We many not know how but we are expectant for that seed to bear fruit that people will taste and see that the Lord is good.

I always see ONE as a MULTITUDE!  Always see an apple tree in an apple seed that will bear more apples with more seeds in them.  Our God is the origin of networking.  He is the greatest Networker of all.  Jesus Christ was The Seed sown into the world by the Love of our Father.  You and I partook of The Seed of His love that have grown within us and is continuously growing inside of us until fruit is borne, us being Christians who are Christ-like. As we do what He has called us to do, touching lives and making a difference fueled by His love, seeds are once again sown.  As we touch ONE, we touch a MULTITUDE.  We do not stop until the whole earth is filled with His goodness, but it is done not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Jesus as the Seed of Your love. In Christ alone we are made complete, lacking nothing, as the Holy Spirit fills us with Your all in all.  Thank You for open doors for us to overflow what You have deposited in our hearts, thinking the thoughts that You think about those You have called us to touch, doing the things that You have ordained for us to do to them and speaking the words that You desire for them to hear and listen, that You may be glorified as they taste and see that You are GOOD!  Amen!
