Found In His Love

“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be FOUND IN HIM, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith …” (Philippians 3:8)

The life we live is a progressive revelation of what it means to be found in Him, and for Him to be found in us as believers in Jesus Christ. It is a journey of abiding in Love, and of Love abiding in us, for God is Love.

Because God is Love, we can rightly understand these expressions as inseparable realities. To be found in Him is to be found in Love; for Love to dwell in us is for God Himself to dwell in us and live through us. As we continue to walk “FOUND IN LOVE”, this truth unfolds more deeply, transforming our hearts by the renewing our minds, and shaping our lives into the likeness of His divine Love.

As we come to rest in the revelatory knowledge that we are encompassed within the omnipotent plan of God—the perfect plan of Love—it is best that we no longer cling to our own works, our own plans, our own desires, or our own dispositions. Instead, we willingly surrender every part of ourselves to the One who created us in His image and is continually transforming us into His likeness. In yielding completely to Him, we discover that His will is not only perfect but is the very expression of Love working in and through us.

These past two weeks have been quite challenging for me. As an office administrator, I am entrusted with the responsibility of managing and supervising our team, ensuring that policies are properly implemented, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our business.

Because of past experiences with the same person, moments of doubt can sometimes arise, particularly regarding how time and resources are being used.  A few days later, I realized that something within me had changed.  My peace had quietly slipped away, and the joy that usually accompanied my daily walk with the Lord had been replaced by restlessness. Instead of abiding in the assurance of God’s presence, I had allowed my heart to become unsettled by circumstances. I found myself in an unhealthy state.  Rather than being led by Love, I was being driven by disappointments, and the need to control what I could not ultimately control.

One of those nights, I sat at the piano and worshipped the Lord, “casting all my burdens and cares upon Him, for He cares for me affectionately and cares about me watchfully” (1 Peter 5:7).  In His presence, I found the freedom to lay down every anxious thought and every concern that I had been carrying.

As my attention and affection were redirected toward Him—toward His presence, His goodness, His mercy, and His truth—the weight upon my heart began to lift.  In worship, I was reminded that the safest place for my heart is not in trying to control outcomes, but in resting completely in the faithful care and LOVE of my Heavenly Father.

This verse was highlighted that night … “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

In this time of being refreshed in His presence, He gently revealed something deeper. My greatest responsibility was not merely to manage people well, but to trust Him completely. While wisdom and accountability are necessary in leadership, they should never be governed by suspicion or fear.  Love does not lead by anxiety; it leads by faith, for faith works by love (Galatians 5:6).

The Lord reminded me that every person is ultimately accountable to Him. My role is to steward faithfully what He has entrusted to me, while allowing Him to work in the hearts of those around me. When I carry burdens that belong to Him, I lose the rest that comes from knowing He is sovereign over every detail.

Last Sunday, our Pastor was teaching us about the fruit of the Holy Spirit which hit the nail on the head of my situation.  Oh how I was powerfully reminded to walk in the spirit that I will not fulfill the lust of my flesh of taking things into my own hands.  Praise the Lord!

Monday came. I got out of the house with joy and was led forth with peace (Isaiah 55:12) as I was heading toward my workplace.  I chose by faith to let the love of God reign all over me.

This experience became another invitation to abide in His Love as a lifestyle.  As I rested in His presence, I realized that true leadership is not measured by how tightly I hold everything together, but by how completely I entrust everything to the One who holds all things together. His Love does not remove responsibility; it transforms the heart from which responsibility flows. When Love governs the heart, wisdom becomes clearer, decisions become gentler, and peace remains even amid uncertainty.

Yes, each of us walks a unique path in our journey with God. Every step we take differs from another’s, yet we are enriched by the revelations of His Love that others have received. As we learn from one another, the horizon of our own understanding is broadened, and our appreciation of God’s Love deepens.

The Scriptures says, “that we may have the strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:18–19). Together, as members of Christ’s body, we grow into a fuller revelation of His Love and are continually being filled with the fullness of God.

“Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.” (Romans 13:8)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great love for us that You always make Yourself known to us in the midst of adversity.  Truly, our slight affliction only lasts for a moment as we look not on the things which are seen, but to set our attention and affection to You Who is Love and Who is worthy of it all.

Thank You, Jesus, that to be found in You is to be found in Your love, being filled and flooded by Your love and letting Your love overflow through us.  Your love is the most powerful force that can splinter anything that does not bring You pleasure in our lives.

Thank You, Holy Spirit, for always guiding us into all truth, revealing to us what LOVE LOOKS LIKE and continuously pouring the Love of God into our hearts daily and richly.  Amen!
