Embraced!

Have you ever had a day when nothing seemed to be working according to how you wanted it to be?  You may have exhausted all your ideas on what else to do, exerted all the strength in your body and the only remaining option you have is to lie down and sleep, hoping for a good and refreshing tomorrow with His new mercies made available for you.

Thank God for this uttered promise … “But as for me, Your strength shall be my song of joy.  At EACH and EVERY sunrise, my lyrics of Your love will fill the air!  For You have been my Glory-Fortress, a Stronghold in my day of distress.”  (Psalm 59:16 TPT)

Everyday we always learn something new.  We all know that our lives will never be challenge-free.  There will always be potholes, sharp curves, closed roads and detours along the way.  Thank God for His abounding love, mercy and grace that He overcame them all.  He revealed to us His secret that He deprived these trials of their power to harm us and have conquered them for us.  All we need to do is switch back our focus and awareness back to His presence.  We need to be present in His presence where PEACE, LOVE and JOY are found.  Peace indeed is not the ABSENCE of trouble, noise, conflict or war, but it is the PRESENCE OF SOMEONE and His Name is Jesus Christ, our PRINCE OF PEACE Who crushed the enemy’s head.  KNOW how faithful He is to our good, how He is ABLE and WILLING to help us every step of the way.

“I have told you these things, so that IN ME you may have [perfect] peace and confidence.  In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]!  For I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.  [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]  (John 16:33 AMPC)

His word always reminds us TO BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, we let our requests be made known to God; and the PEACE of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)  He said, “Do not be afraid for I AM with you.  Do not be dismayed for I AM your God.”

For me, this is also a picture of the loving Father and the prodigal son.  Sometimes when we are too busy exhausting everything to do things that make us become unaware of His loving presence, still His eyes are constantly upon us.  He never disengages Himself from us and that is a promise the preserves us. Like the son, we may be a great way off from Him but He is forever engaged with His beloveds.  Nothing and no one can ever separate us from Him and His love for us.  Our whisper of His name in the midst of our busy schedules will cause His presence to embrace and envelope us.  It is like the father who the very moment sighted his son, had compassion, ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.  Our consciousness, acknowledgment and recognition of Him is a form of worship at any given time that is irresistible to Him.  It is an expression of us giving a kiss to our Daddy God.

Look at the meaning of worship.  Worship is the translation of two Greek words combined, meaning toward plus to kiss.  The Greek word combination is the most frequent word rendered to worship.  Worship means to do reverence to.  How striking!  Worship means to kiss towards.  In a way, it is like blowing a kiss to someone.

Once we are locked-in in worship in His presence again and again and again, this is when He reminds us of who we are in Him.  Our identity and authority are set back in its position.  And oh how He celebrates with overflowing joy over us.

The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

Mind how the father in that parable restored the position of his son, from being a slave into being a son in an instant WITHOUT REPROACH. He said, “BRING QUICKLY the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and CELEBRATE.” (Luke 15:22-23)

We may get lost in how up and about we are, but when we refocus, realign ourselves and once again be aware of His mighty and loving presence IN THE MIDST OF A BUSY DAY, we akin ourselves to be “once lost but is found again”. Restoration comes with a humble heart of being needy of Him every step of the way. Our dependency on Him postures us to have a child-like faith Whom our Heavenly Father is pleased for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven. And the best part of it is that He CELEBRATES us.

Let us always be reminded that we are greatly blessed, highly favored and deepy loved.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank Your for Your steadfast love that knows no bound.  Thank You for looking after us 24/7.  You indeed never sleeps nor slumbers.  Thank You for being our Keeper, our Rear Guard, our Wall of Fire around us and the Glory within us.  Thank You, Jesus, for always interceding for us that our faith will not fail.  Thank You, Holy Spirit for smearing us with Your mighty strength and power that we may fight a good fight of faith, not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit alone in Whom we trust.  Amen!
