As a believer, what do we do when we hear people of success and significance ending their lives in most unexpected ways? We just witnessed two lately and how many more who had done the same without our knowledge. It is sad, no doubt about it, but how can we make a difference?

Believe Therefore Speak
One of the powerful ways Jesus demonstrated to us the glory of God was at Lazarus’ resurrection. The goodness of God colored way out of the line beyond a human mind’s comprehension. Death lost its sting when Jesus came four days after Lazarus’ death and at His word, he came out of the tomb, for Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.
Home …
What do we do to make our house a home? There may be millions of opinions that we can gather as each one has his own way of doing it. Its complexity comes with our individual desires and thoughtful choices. But in the midst of our distinct differences, it all boils down to “what do we value” in it? What means most to us marks its greatest potential of making it a home. It is a place where we can create things within that can meet our needs that expresses who we are. It is an inside-out way of perceiving things, just exactly like how our lives are to be lived. Jesus said, “Anyone who loves Me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and WE WILL COME TO THEM and MAKE OUR HOME WITH THEM.” John 14:23)
Embraced!
Have you ever had a day when nothing seemed to be working according to how you wanted it to be? You may have exhausted all your ideas on what else to do, exerted all the strength in your body and the only remaining option you have is to lie down and sleep, hoping for a good and refreshing tomorrow with His new mercies made available for you.
Thank God for this uttered promise … “But as for me, Your strength shall be my song of joy. At EACH and EVERY sunrise, my lyrics of Your love will fill the air! For You have been my Glory-Fortress, a Stronghold in my day of distress.” (Psalm 59:16 TPT)
Proof, Passion & Pursuit
The proof of our love is in our passion that is demonstrated in our pursuit. Who are we seeking? Who are we longing to be with? With whom are we spending our time, talent and treasure with? Who is in our hearts? What are we passionate about?
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21 NKJV)
“The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.” (Matthew 6:21 MSG)
Fullness!
“For IN CHRIST lives all the FULLNESS OF GOD in a human body. So you also are COMPLETE through your UNION WITH CHRIST, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” (Colossians 2:9-10 NLT)
A New And Living Way!
The Lord desires our fresh and new encounters with Him every time. He longs to reveal to us more of Who He is, His thoughts and His ways. He is excited to explore and experience with us what He has in store for us. His windows are open and ready to release and download anything when and what we are ready to receive.
The Posture of Hearing!
A testimony is powerful regardless of how small it may seem. One may view it insignificant but its effect cannot be denied that once shared and heard, it will create a ripple in someone’s heart to desire the same. It is an evidence or proof provided by the existence or appearance of something that happens in one’s life. It is an answer to a prayer. It is a seed that when received in the fertile ground of our hearts can produce a confident expectation that we shall see the goodness of God in the land of the living as we sit and listen to the one sharing his own encounter with Jesus Christ, our King.
Peacemakers!
Blessed (enjoying enviable happiness, spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!” Matthew 5:9 AMPC)
Uniquely Created
I always love asking the Holy Spirit the secrets behind the great men of God whose names are mentioned in the Bible. I may not have many answers but surely He unveils our eyes little by little to see what those characters are that made them exceptionally special.
