“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you … ” (Jeremiah 1:5)
God is an ALL-KNOWING GOD Who knows the purpose of our existence. Before He formed us, the blueprint of our lives had already been written of what is to become of us, and that we are predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.
“For He knew ALL ABOUT US before we were born and He destined us from the beginning to share the likeness of His Son. This means the Son is the oldest among a vast family of brothers and sisters who will become just like Him.” (Romans 8:29 TPT)
I love the Voice Translation of this verse that says …
“You see, He knew those who would be HIS one day, and He chose them beforehand to be conformed to the image of His Son so that Jesus would be the firstborn of a new family of believers, all brothers and sisters. As for those He chose beforehand, He called them to a different destiny so that they would experience what it means to be made right with God and share His glory.”
Truly, many are called but few are chosen. I believe we are “ALL” called to believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, but only a few respond to that glorious invitation. We are ALL soooo loved by God, but only a handful receive His Wonderful Gift, Jesus Christ, given to us.
“For this is how much God loved the world—He gave His one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now EVERYONE who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life.” (John 3:16 TPT)
Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ Who came and proved to us God’s love.
“Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!” (Romans 5:8 TPT)
Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ Who came in spite of knowing that many of whom He died for denies the powerful demonstration of God’s love through His suffering, death and resurrection. He knew that His way of saving us will be foolishness to those who are perishing, yet He came without hesitation to rescue us. He knew that we were hopeless to fulfill all the laws to righteousness depriving us of His glorious plans for us, thus He came and fully obeyed the Father to fulfill the purpose of His existence because He loved the Father and He loved us, when He said, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42) Oh how He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Philippians 2:8), just as so you and I will be reconciled fully into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father Who is crazy in love with us.
If you are still wondering if you are called and CHOSEN by God, I believe that just by the thought of you reading this message qualifies you to be chosen. It only takes a “YES” cry in your heart to God’s loving invitation to believe and receive His only Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
At one point in time, I asked the Lord how do I receive His promises that are said to be “YES and AMEN!” He simply said, “You are to believe and receive the One Who I SENT and He is My beloved Son, Jesus Christ”. “For ALL of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “YES!” and through Christ, our “AMEN” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for His glory ( (2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT).
He further explained that for us to receive a prophetic word from a prophet, we are FIRST to receive the person who is a prophet, then we will have the prophet’s reward (Matthew 10:41). The vitality of acknowledging the vessel determines our reception of what is being delivered. A postman is a necessity for our mail to be delivered to us. Reject the postman and the mail will not be delivered to our doorstep.
“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.” (Matthew 10:40)
More so, the beauty of Jesus Christ being God’s Messenger is that He is the Message Himself. All other things will just be added unto us, “for by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. ALL THINGS WERE CREATED THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM. (Colossians 1:16)” Therefore, receiving HIM is receiving ALL that is IN HIM.
Believing and receiving Jesus Christ in our hearts as our Lord and Savior is the start of a NEW BEGINNING in our lives. We become NEW CREATIONS in Him spiritually, instantly and supernaturally.
“Therefore, if anyone is IN CHRIST, he is a NEW CREATION; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Praise God, He does not wait for us to straighten up in all of our ways. It is His divine unmerited favor that makes it possible. We do not earn it! We do not deserve it! It is not in and of our own ability to qualify. “For by grace we have been saved through faith. And this is not our own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
How amazingly God KNEW and FOREKNEW us and created us according to the thoughts that He has of us. No wonder we are the apple of His eye, His precious possession and the object of His affection.
For You shaped me, inside and out.
You knitted me together in my mother’s womb long before I took my first breath.I will offer You my grateful heart, for I am Your unique creation, filled with wonder and awe.
You have approached even the smallest details with excellence;
Your works are wonderful;
I carry this knowledge deep within my soul.
You see all things; nothing about me was hidden from You
As I took shape in secret,
carefully crafted in the heart of the earth before I was born from its womb.
You see all things;
You saw me growing, changing in my mother’s womb;
Every detail of my life was already written in Your book;
You established the length of my life before I ever tasted the sweetness of it.
Your thoughts and plans are treasures to me, O God! I cherish each and every one of them!
How grand in scope! How many in number! (Psalm 139:13-17)
Who then does not desire to belong to the One Who is the Creator of all Who sooooo loves and deeply cares for us?
As you have noticed, the world is getting darker and darker and so are the people’s thoughts, ways and identities. Confusion in every aspect is rampant everywhere we look, for in darkness, we cannot see and perceive things properly let alone rightfully. But we have the ANTIDOTE to darkness and His Name is Jesus Christ. When the LIGHT of the world comes and dwells inside us, His Light shines bright that will illumine our thoughts, ways and identities according to Who He originally created us to be before the fall at the Garden of Eden. His Light allows us to SEE from His perspective that dislodges uncertainties away and sustains us to walk in the lighted path of His Word which is the lamp upon our feet. When LIGHT pierces in, darkness flees.
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I AM the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the LIGHT OF LIFE.” (John 8:12 NKJV)
The Voice translation says,
“Jesus: I AM the Light that shines through the cosmos; if you walk with Me, you will thrive in the NOURISHING LIGHT that GIVES LIFE and will NOT know darkness.”
Yes, YOU ARE THE ONE whom Jesus is inviting to believe in Him and receive Him into your heart and confess with your mouth as your Lord and Savior. And when you accept His invitation, SURELY you and the world around you will never be the same again for His Light will shine in and through you. I tell you, it is CERTAIN, ASSURED and GUARANTEED! Jesus is the Light of Hope when our lives seem to be hopeless. He is the HOPE OF GLORY, our confident expectation that SURELY God’s goodness and mercy shall pursue us ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for sooo loving us. Thank You that You never withheld anything from me, not even Your only Begotten Beloved Son Jesus Christ, for You never desire anyone to perish but for all of us to have everlasting life. Thank You, Jesus, for proving the love of our Father by humbly obeying to the point of Your death at the cross just as so I can experientially know what it means to be awesomely loved beyond measure forever. Indeed, You are The Way for me to be able to come to the Father boldly. You are the Truth, that apart from You and Your Word, everything else is untrue. You are the Life and He who has the Son has life! Jesus, I receive you into my heart and confess your Name with my mouth that You are my Lord, my Savior and my King. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for revealing to me Who Jesus is and the finished work that He accomplished for His beloveds. Teach me to live and move and have my being in Your presence where perfect peace and fullness of joy is found. Amen!
