The Work Of God

“Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?”  Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”  (John 6:28-29 ESV)

By faith, you and I are not defined by our own works.  Our works are by-products of who God created us to be.  When we believe, welcome and receive Jesus Christ  into our lives as Lord,  Savior and King, we become new creations in Him.  With this new heavenly identity that we have, new life arises that produces new deeds.  It is never out of compulsion that we force ourselves to do good works.  They are simply produced by abiding in the presence of the One Who made us new.  Old things have passed away and the new has come.   We become born again, born of God, born not of corruptible seed but of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God and partakers of His divine nature.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”  (2 Conrinthians 5:17)

Shall Chaos Triumph?

“And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”  (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Have you ever noticed the strong promptings in your heart that are impossible to ignore?  They are irresistible that simply lead you to do them even if they don’t make a lot of sense.

Know that the Lord our God is the Omniscient One.  He knows all things.  He knows the end from the beginning.  Nothing is unknown to Him.  He gave us His Spirit to abide in us forever to lead and guide us in the way that we should go.  Our part is to KNOW Him and TRUST Him for we can only yield and submit our will to the will of Someone we know and Someone Who loves and cares for us.

NEW LIFE in CHRIST!

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”  (2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP)

Have you ever wondered why many believers of Jesus Christ have testimonies of deliverance, may it be from drug addiction, sickness and disease, trauma, deception, identity crisis to name a few?  It is because, the very moment we believe and receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become born of God, born anew, born of the Spirit, born from above, born again.  We die to our old self when the Blood of Jesus Christ washed us clean, made us holy and blameless before God, and we arise to our new life in Him victorious and more than conquerors because the same Spirit Who raised Him from the dead is living in us, and it is He Who quickens and empowers us to live the new and living way.  It is never by our might, not by our power, but by the Spirit of God.  It is only possible by grace through faith, not by our works lest we boast.

God’s Standard

So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent and persistent prayer for him was being made to God by the church.”  (Acts 12:5 AMP)

How many of us believe that when God answers our prayers it is always far above what we could dare think, dream or imagine?  His timing is perfect.  His ways are beyond comprehension.  His meeting of our needs is according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

This is God’s Standard.  It is never ours.

We can only recognize, be aware of and tap into this when we are born of Him.  Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say to you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

There is a need for an unveiling of our eyes for us to see things from His perspective.

You Are A Gift

You are a gift from God to the planet!

No one just happens to be born on earth without a purpose. Our God is a God of purpose. Each one of us is created to fulfill one thing and that is to walk in congruency to the image of God in which we are created and fashioned after.

“And God said, Let Us make man in our image, after our likeness …” (Genesis 1:26)

When we are in Christ, wherever we are now, know that this is where we are supposed to be, being at the right place, doing the right thing, thinking the right thoughts and having the right intents of our hearts at the right time.  It is our right believing that postures us to being right and doing right.

We need to put a stop to our thoughts that dictate, “I should have been … if I did this or that …”.  Otherwise, we would halt our journey to enjoy where we are and the character development intended for this given time which is a necessity for our next step to move forward.  Our attitude should be, “Open my eyes to see the reason why I’m here and grant me the grace to do it, Lord.”.  Be reminded that when we receive the Gift of God, Jesus Christ, into our hearts, we become a gift  to those around us as carriers of His presence right here, right now.

“Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the Gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water.'”  (John 4:10)

My Story, My Song

In Christ, we live in this world, but thankfully not of it.  We go not by the opinions, descriptions and images of men about us that tend to imprison us.  Instead, we believe in the truth that God’s definition of us is our powerful and dynamic provision that brings forth freedom.

Oppositions along the way are inevitable.  What matters most is how to respond to them in ways not to bring division among ourselves, but to make us grow deeper in our relationship with God and to furnish an invitation for others to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, yet experientiable and explorable.   We regard resistance as tools to hone and refine us into who God created us to be for all things work together for our good.

Our Father’s Day

“Think of it this way: if your son asked you for bread, would you give him a stone? Of course not—you would give him a loaf of bread.  If your son asked for a fish, would you give him a snake? No, to be sure, you would give him a fish—the best fish you could find.  So if you, who are sinful, know how to give your children good gifts, how much more so does your Father in heaven, who is perfect, know how to give great gifts to His children!” (Matthew 7:9-11 Voice)

Today is “Father’s Day” when we celebrate our earthly Daddies.  In church, the joyful fathers were prayed over and celebrated.  In restaurants, many promotions were offered to celebrate the loving fathers.  Households have parties to salute the responsible men of the house.  Many bought gifts to honor the highly regarded fathers.

Happy Father’s Day to all the love-infused fathers.
