HOPE is a joyful anticipation of good that is about to happen in your life!  It is not wishful thinking like when we say “I hope so” BUT it is a CONFIDENT EXPECTATION OF GOOD!  You know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your desire with a favorable expectation of fulfillment is at hand!

“But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a HELMET THE HOPE OF SALVATION.”  1 Thessalonians 4:18 NKJV

 

Have you ever wondered why the hope of salvation is a HELMET?  It’s because the battlefield is in our minds!  A lot of times, our defeated thoughts get in the way!  Negative thoughts somehow gravitate and occupy more often in our minds.  No wonder the Word of God emphasizes on us being transformed with a renewed thinking, a mind that is fully persuaded on what His Word says because “as a man thinks, in his heart so is he!” (Proverbs 23:7 NKJV)  In short, we are what we think!   Our lives will always go according to our most dominant thoughts!

What are you thinking when things don’t go the way you want them to be?  Or when get caught in a situation off guard, in which direction will your mind go?  Always keep in mind that what you constantly think goes into your heart and out of your heart flows the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

 

^” Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS.”  Philippians 4:8 KJV

 

The stillness of our hearts lies in the truth that:

God is God!

God is Almighty … no one is mightier than Him!

God is the Most High God … no one is higher than Him!

God is Good Who is always in a good mood!

All things work together for our good!

An expectation that something good is about to happen in the midst of adversity!

God deeply loves you and me that He sent Jesus to us to demonstrate His great love for us.

JESUS is the HOPE of Glory!  He came that we may HAVE and ENJOY life to the full.

 

THINK ON THESE THINGS!  This is how we MAGNIFY the Lord with our lives when our thoughts of Him are more numerous and weighty than anything else.  When we bring Him our seemingly big mountains believing that He is GREATER and HIGHER, then His mystery and majesty, His capacity to do something supernatural are welcome to invade in our lives and those mountains will become molehills before our very eyes.

THIS IS HOPE … a confident expectation of good is at hand!
