“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him …”  Psalm 37:23 NIV

One can only give himself fully to the ONE whom he confidently knows and trusts.  It is in the knowing that begets trusting.  Nowadays, we all are witnessing that it isn’t easy to trust somebody.  You always take risks trusting someone you don’t know but deep knowledge of someone earns your trust!

I used to ask myself before every time I come across a verse in the Bible that says ..”that you may KNOW that I AM God.”  Now, I came to realize how much He desires to be known and trusted!  He desires to be believed in Who He says He is but because of our “not so good” experiences in life where our trusts were violated, we equated God the same way.

But this is what He said and this is one of my life verses that’s a sure foundation for me …

“My covenant I WILL NOT BREAK,  NOR ALTER the word that has gone out of My lips.  Once I have sworn by My holiness;  I WILL NOT LIE to David:”  Psalm 89:34-35 NKJV

… and I always personalize the last line by substituting my name instead of David’s, then the impact becomes deeper.  What He says, that’s Who He is. PERIOD!

Jesus is our Good Shepherd Who laid down His life for us.  He is always there to instruct us, lead us and guide us to a place of safety, security, abundance and rest.  He is GOOD, ALWAYS GOOD, ALL THE TIME GOOD, therefore only GOOD things and GOOD plans come out of Him.  Every GOOD and perfect gift comes from Him.

He sees us with His steady eye and His attention span is infinite.  How cool can that be?  If you are a father, you know what I’m talking about.  You never take your eyes off your little child.  Instead, you’re always there to hold him, guide  him, and even when he falls, you never scold him for stumbling and leave him down, but surely you  will pick him up in your arms, close to your heart and say, “It’s okay, my child.”

How much more our Daddy God Who lavishes us with His love?  He knows you inside out for He created you for Himself.  He knows your strength and your weakness.  He knows the seed of greatness that He has deposited in you for His own delight.  There is NOTHING hidden from Him yet He loves you through and through.  How wide, how deep, how great is the love of our Heavenly Father?  Incomprehensible!

When you come to know and understand how He focuses His thoughts on you and they are numbered even more than the sand in the sea, it turns your heart from a heart of stone into a heart of flesh, ready to yield and obey.  One little step always positions you forward and further.  In truth, obedience is a response to the greatness of our Father’s love knowing that He will never put you to shame  but He calls you BY NAME that causes your hearts to melt in the power of His love poured into your heart by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank You, Abba!  Thank Your for loving me like no other.  I am Yours and You are mine.
