The table that God prepares for  you and I everyday, 24/7, is a PAID VICTORY MEAL!   Jesus paid a steep price for it but until we say “YES” to His invitation, we open ourselves to deprivation.

When we invite a special guest to come into our homes for a meal, we do everything, right?  We plan for the right menu making sure that everything mixes and matches well.  We buy all the necessary ingredients and cook them with passion.  We plate them well that adds ambience to the place.  Then, we wait.

It’s the same way with our Father, Who sets up everything, and He waits until we respond to His invitation. He has all the time in the world for He is infinite.   He doesn’t have any other agenda anymore.  He already did it and paid for it when Jesus said, “It is finished!”

Come to think of it, just like fine dining, the evening is not just for the food served but it is an open invitation to initiate and build a relationship.  This is  where we come to know the person we’re dining with in a deeper way.  It is not “fast food” that we tend to gobble up the food front of us but instead, we take it slow all because to say  yes to this kind of invitation means only one thing … that we want to be with the special one who extended the invitation to us.

In Psalm 23:5 NKJV, it says … “You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies …”.   Our enemies are not flesh and blood but they are our challenges, fears, sickness and disease, lack and poverty, broken relationships, etc.  That means, when fear tries to attack us, don’t go and fight it!  God said, He will fight the battle for us.  Actually He already won it for us at the cross.  The enemy’s schemes are just to destroy our intimacy with our Father.  Therefore, when an attack comes, KNOW WHOM TO FOCUS ON!  Run to the table and dine with the King of kings, Jesus!

When there is fear, feed on His love.

When there is confusion, feed on His wisdom.

When there is sickness and disease, feed on healing and wholeness that He secured by His stripes.

When there is lack and poverty, feed on His riches.  He owns everything and because you are His son, then you have access to all that He has.

When there is rejection, feed on His acceptance.

When there is guilt and condemnation, feed on His forgiveness brought on by the power of His Blood shed at the cross.

When you come to His table, He has prepared for you a FEAST!  An hors d’oeuvre of GRACE, a soup of STRENGTH, a salad of HOPE, a pasta of PEACE, a steak of LOVE, a dessert of JOY, a cup of ANOINTING, and a basket full of BLESSINGS!  Name it, He has it and you have it just as you desired it to be.

“Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”  Psalm 37:3-4 NKJV

Purpose yourself to feed on JESUS Who is the BREAD OF LIFE, the true bread Who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.

“I AM the BREAD OF LIFE.  he who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”  John 6:35
