Haven’t you noticed that when God parted the Red Sea, His way was different from the way He did it with the Jordan River?

The Red Sea: “LIFT UP YOUR ROD, and STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” (Exodus 14:13 NKJV)

The Jordan River: “And it shall come to pass, AS SOON AS THE SOLES OF THE FEET OF THE PRIESTS who bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, SHALL REST IN THE WATERS OF THE JORDAN, that the waters of the Jordan SHALL BE CUT OFF, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap.” (Joshua 3:13 NKJV)

I wonder what could have happened if Joshua didn’t inquire of the Lord on His way of parting the Jordan river and just replicated what Moses did over the Red Sea.  Hmmm … we may not know the answer but surely we can learn from how Joshua did it.

Why were there two ways and not just one fixed way of doing things?  Surely it could have been better and easier to just follow one, right?   I believe it’s all because our Daddy God desires relationship.  He desires to commune with His beloveds.  He desires intimacy with us. He desires to be sought after for us to know His way of doing things which is the BEST and not us assuming or automatically figuring things out in our own way that will eventually lead us to complacency and religiousity, merely following rules and regulations without relationship.  We all tend to do the same way how we did in the past or copy what others are doing to get our breakthroughs.  We tend to follow formulas which limits His way of doing things in and through us.  Remember, Jesus opened blind eyes in different ways as well.  We have been created uniquely, therefore He deals with us in varied ways that is only cut out personally for us.

“When He had said these things, He SPAT ON THE GROUND and MADE CLAY with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.  And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”  (John 9:6 NKJV)

“So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had SPIT on his eyes and PUT HIS HANDS on him, He asked him if he saw anything.  And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”  Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.” (Mark 8:23-25 NKJV)

The secret is the Secret Place where He reveals to us His secrets.  “The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.” (Psalm 25:14 AMPC)

One early morning, I woke up hearing a loving whisper in my heart, “My delight in you is a breath of fresh air.” Oh what a beautiful way to start that day.   It was surely one that I considered a powerful Love Note from my Beloved mentioned in my previous blog, “I Delight In You” (July 9, 2017).

The very next early morning, I heard nothing.  Somehow I questioned myself why?  But the Lord is so gracious and abounding in love Who never fails to show forth Himself.  He simply impressed in my heart …”but I gave you a powerful dream”.  Ohhhhh … so that’s another Love Note from You.

On the third early morning, I heard nothing nor had a dream.  This time, I was relaxed and well composed, got out of bed and kinda knew that He was going to drop an atomic bomb kind of revelation in my quiet time.  Much to my surprise that when I looked out of my window, I saw a FULL MOON against a blue sky.  If you look at the image in this blog, that’s what I saw (pardon my not so clear photo that was just taken by my phone).  He led me to meditate on Isaiah 51:12 NKJV  “I, even I, Am He Who comforts you.”  “I will make your wilderness like Eden and your desert like the My Garden where joy, gladness, thanksgiving and the voice of melody will be found (Isaiah 51:3).”  I simply responded and whispered, “YOU surely know how to make me smile, Lord :-)”  He made me soar high at the onset of that day.

Sometimes we get limitations in seeing what He is doing in our lives just because we have a strong tendency to look at what He’s done in the past.  We fail to see that His mercies are NEW and FRESH every single morning packaged in a million and one ways. JOY always comes in the morning in His presence expressed in various ways.

Why not go into the Secret Place of His presence and seek Him with all of our hearts with a confident expectation that He will be found by us because He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him?  Why not seek His ways in the power of His word?  Why not seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things shall be added to us? Or why not go into the Secret Place and convey and express to Him our own personal and intimate love note to Him that will put a big smile on His face?  Remember, relationship is never one-way.  Intimacy is to be loved by Him and to love Him back.

“O God, You are my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see Your power and Your glory, so as I have seen YOU in the sanctuary.”  (Psalm 63:1-2)

 

My Love Note to my Beloved:

YOU never fail to put a smile on my face every time I wake up.

You never fail to amaze me as I lookout my window and SEE an awesome view of YOUR beauty conveying this message: “My delight in you is a breath of fresh air to you.”

Who can resist a love like YOURS?  Who can be insensitive or imperceptive of YOUR magnificence?  Who can deny YOUR very presence in my midst?  NO ONE!

My only response is a grateful heart to worship YOU.  YOU ARE WORTHY OF IT ALL.

Thank YOU, Jesus.  YOUR love NEVER ceases to amaze me.
