Be confident that it is the Lord our God Who directs our every step for He leads us by His Spirit.
Be confident that the truth of God’s word is the ultimate truth and nothing else supercedes it.
Be confident that the strong promptings in our hearts is one of His ways of communicating with and guiding us.
Be confident that the stillness in our hearts when we hear Him speak is the umpire that we are on the right track.
Be confident that the Holy Spirit in us will make things right for us for the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.
I was doing overtime one night due to the Christmas rush. Time overtook us with our delivery of gifts. When I was done for the night, I packed up, locked up and went to my parking slot. Lo and behold, at 10:30 in the evening my car weakly started. it sounded like it wouldn’t start again if ever the engine goes off. My only prayer is that I will be able to get home safe and sound.
I managed to get into the gas station for my tank was almost empty. So then I had to put the engine off while filling up. Lo and behold, the engine started again but this time it was weaker. I thought to myself … this is it! If this goes off again, I don’t think it will resurrect anymore. I still held on to my prayer to be able to get home safe and sound.
Miraculously there was NO TRAFFIC at all. Normally, during this Christmas season, traffic would be so bad, bumper to bumper. But God RICH in mercy and ABOUNDING in His love! I arrived home safe and sound.
The moment I parked at my garage, I turned off the engine and tried to start again, but it was no longer reacting while I turned on the ignition. I put on the light and it was still lighting up, then my heart was at peace. In one of my previous experiences, a mechanic told me that when the engine goes off and won’t start again, just put on the light and if it still does, then change your battery.
I called up the 24-hour battery delivery service and it was quicker than I thought it would be. In a span of thirty minutes, my car was in perfect shape again.
When everything was done, I saw that He indeed directed my steps. I saw that He was not only with me but He was also perfecting that which concerns me.
Perfection in this sense was not having no trouble at all, for He said in this world there will be trials, but Jesus said, “Be of good cheer for I have over overcome the world. I have deprived it of its power to harm you and have conquered it for you.” But perfection that connotes and denotes despite my car battery’s life’s end, He made me go home without my car having to stop and stall, but parked in the luxury of my home and made it spark once again with a speedy battery delivery service. Glory to the One Whom all glory is due!
The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not lack. (Psalm 23:1)
I didn’t lack guidance to go overtime.
I didn’t lack wisdom to drive home considering my battery’s state.
I didn’t lack battery. Instead a battery service was at hand 24/7.
I didn’t lack when it came to space and time. I made it home, in a perfect place at a perfect time
I didn’t lack provision to pay for my new battery for I just got my monetary Christmas gift the very same day.
I didn’t lack sleep for it was a prompt service.
I didn’t lack peace and joy in my heart for I knew deep in my heart that I was at the right place at the right time doing the right thing with the right heart.
To top it all, I was privileged to give the service man a tip and saw him smile with much gratitude. I postured to be blessed to be a blessing.
Our awareness of His presence in our lives makes us strong in Him and in the power of His might. Our confidence comes from believing and receiving His spoken word that .. “I will never leave you nor forsake you … so DON’T WORRY! I got got covered by My glory!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for never failing to lead me in the way I should go, being at the right place at the right time, doing the right thing with the right heart, with the right thoughts coming to my mind, speaking the right words of life to my situation. Truly Your presence in my life is all that matters. Thank You, Jesus, for interceding for me that my faith will not fail, that I will trust You with all of my heart, leaning not on my own understanding and in ALL of my ways I will acknowledge You and You will direct my path. Thank You, Holy Spirit for keeping the joy and peace in my heart while I was on my way home, assuring me with Your presence that ALL IS WELL. Amen!
