“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
I love it when I start my day with a specific verse resonating in my heart. Then, when I opened my daily bible verse, it is exactly the same. More so, when I checked my email and saw my God-Whisper-Devotional, it was so in line with that same specific verse. How these put a big smile on my face for these only mean one thing, that the Lord is confirming and emphasizing what He has spoken in my heart when I woke up and not to depart from it until I see the manifestation of such.
With my upcoming trip to Sydney Hillsong Conference, I am still believing for provision for my pocket money. I am very hopeful that the windows of heaven are open for His blessings to come forth. When He led me to sow two significant seeds in the past few days, I somehow sensed in my heart that something was locked to abound. They may not be direct harvests to what I have sown, but I just knew something in my spirit was triggered to see something that is yet be unveiled.
I kept declaring and reminding myself the verse that He gave me when I woke up … “Be anxious for nothing … for His PEACE, His SHALOM … His nothing-missing, nothing-broken, nothing-lacking Presence is set to make my day whole and complete. It is He Who will keep me in PERFECT PEACE whose mind is set on Him (Isaiah 26:3).
Peace be still is my theme of the day.
“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” (JOHN 14:27 AMP)
Awesome is the Lord that the very first move that manifested was someone I know called me to go to a gas station to put FULL TANK in my car. What a wonderful surprise indeed! My heart was filled with thanksgiving and praise! Hmmmm … how can I still be anxious?
Then I got to my work place. Towards the end of my duty, I got again another invitation to a buffet meal at a five-star hotel. Oh that I may never lose His wonder as He continues to fill my heart with joy. Hmmmm … what right do I have to be anxious?
The best part of the day was when someone handed me a monetary blessing which was specifically designated for my trip. Mind you, it was in Australian Dollars!!!! Hmmmm … anxiety indeed was totally displaced when His provision collided with my need of it. Oh how He provides for us according to HIS RICHES IN GLORY by Christ Jesus.
We obviously don’t know what He has in store for us in the course of the day. He only reminds us to put our full trust in Him and NOT TO BE ANXIOUS, TO WORRY NOT, and FEAR NOT because He Who promised is faithful. When our heart is full of thanksgiving and praise to the One Who is worthy, there will be no more room for anxiety.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” (Matthew 6:25-30)
When we come to realize how valuable we are to Jesus and how deeply loved we are by Him, it changes us. Come to think of it, no one knows the number of hairs in our heads but Him. That is how mindful He is of us. Indeed, there is NO FEAR IN LOVE. It is His perfect love that casts out all our fears away. He cares for us so much more than anyone else in the earth. He looks after us, sees us with knowledge and compassion. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. He is always with us Who is our ever present help in time of need. Great is His faithfulness.
“He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Hebrews 13:5 AMPC)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great love for us that You gave us Jesus, the darling of heaven, as our Lord and Savior. All because of Him we confidently have access to Your throne to obtain mercy and find grace in time of our need. Thank You, Holy Spirit for dwelling and abiding in us forever, never leaving us nor forsaking us, but You are always with us every step of the way. Thank You for loving us. Indeed, there is no one like You, Jesus. Amen!
