What do you SEE?
“Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12 AMPC)
On the last day of 2018, I was travelling from the province. Before I arrived, I got a message from someone who desired to bless me with a FULL TANK gas. I told the person that my tank is still almost full, but she insisted, and so I went to meet up with her at the gas station.
Gas was loaded, four containers of engine oil and a clutch/brake fluid were provided. Praise the Lord. He exceeded what was just promised and expected.
When we were done, we both had our tires checked. I went ahead and noticed that my left-rear tire took quite sometime to reach its required pressure, but I just took it for granted and left. My friend who was behind me called me up and warned me to have my tires checked because she noticed that the pressure of the said tire was initially at 15 psi only compared to the normal 30 psi. Although it was raining, I passed by the vulcanizing shop to have it checked. Lo and behold, the guy found a flat-sharp metal that pierced into the tire allowing the air to get released very gradually. For sure, given some time, a flat tire was inevitable. ONLY because the blessings of the Lord makes one rich and He adds NO SORROW with it, He made sure that what was about to happen was amazingly avoided.
What I just experienced enabled me to see the wonderful benefits of being possessed by our Heavenly Father. He said, He will go before us to straighten our paths and level our ways (Isaiah 45:2). Once we receive and believe these words that have been spoken upon us, we are postured to possess, to have, to take hold of, to own, to enjoy and experience. He said in His word, “I will cause ALL My goodness pass in front of you, and I will proclaim My name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” (Exodus 33:19 NIV) And because of the finished work of Jesus Christ, ALL His goodness you and I shall see and experience.
When I got home, as I glanced at my car’s gas gauge, I heard a whisper inside my heart, “Ending the year in FULL TANK only means one thing … there is an OVERFLOW of blessings that await us!” Hallelujah! What we SEE is what will become!
May we come face to face with HIM in HIS presence, SEE where HE is taking us, HEAR what HE is planning and move where HE is leading us, for it is HE Who orders our steps and they are always for our GOOD!
It requires God to make a declaration before man can respond to His voice. Faith arises by hearing what the Spirit of God is speaking.
My declaration for 2019 will continually be … “I am a POSSESSOR in Christ and not an spectator” … and you are most welcome to join me 😀😇!
“I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, and from Judah POSSESSORS of My mountains; My CHOSEN shall POSSESS IT, and My servants shall dwell there.” (Isaiah 65:9)
The degree that we possess is dependent on how much we allow the Holy Spirit to possess us. The KEY is INTIMACY with Jesus Christ Who paid for everything that are designed and positioned along our paths to possess. All we need to do is respond in faith to what He has spoken and we shall SEE! What He enables us to SEE, He graces us to POSSESS!
“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and POSSESS IT; for we are well able to OVERCOME IT!” (Numbers 13:30 KJV)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing us to belong to You. To be possessed by You is the greatest and most wonderful privilege we have. Once we are yours, we can freely pour out ALL our worries and stress upon You and leave them with You, for You always tenderly care for us (1Peter 5:7 TPT) Our confidence is in You and what You have spoken over us that You will never, under any circumstances, desert us, nor give us up nor leave us without support, nor in any degree leave us helpless, nor will You forsake us or let us down is the truth in which You are faithful to perform. These are our absolute and never-changing benefits and assurance of being possessed by You. Amen!
