Years ago, I used to wonder how God speaks.  I bought books about it and meditated on the Word about it, but until we personally experience such powerful encounter, everything remains a head knowledge.  When we hear Him speak in ways and means that is so cut out for us, it changes us.  He changes the way we think, the way we speak, the way we live our lives.  His voice brings change.

If God can use a donkey to speak and a raven to feed, we must have our hearts, ears, eyes and minds open to every possible way.  He is God Who can do whatever He pleases that a lot of times break the barriers of our limited thinking. Our intimate relational journey with Him is full of excitement and surprises with no dull moment.  When it dawns on us that He already spoken to our specific situation, it postures us to expect the word spoken to manifest.

A few days ago, I got a message from a friend halfway across the globe who asked for prayer. She was going to undergo hysterectomy because of a possible diagnosis of endometrial cancer.

That same day, as I was taking COMMUNION, I prayed for her. As I was declaring healing and wholeness upon her by the stripes of Jesus Christ that her uterus will be CLEAN and FREE from cancer cells, out of my mouth that bypassed my mind were these words, “She is already CLEAN because of the Word that you have declared over her.” (John 15;3) When I heard myself speaking out loud those words my heart changed.  Always remember that when we hear Him speak, there is no amount of opposition that can come against it.  You know it in your heart BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT!  I was fully persuaded that He put the words in my mouth to speak over her situation.

And so the rest of my declarations were built within those given rhema words.  She has not received Jesus in her heart yet but I know in my heart that the incorruptible seed of God’s word had been planted in her heart for years now as I fellowship with her every now and then.

The day after, I heard Joan Hunter’s testimony of her being healed from breast cancer and the word that she received was, “You are already CLEAN because of the word spoken to you.” (John 15:3)  Isn’t it awesome when the word that we get gets confirmed and it is on the same path of being healed from cancer?  That surely raises up our faith and expectation on the Word that we received that it has its own power to perform itself.

Six days later, after the operation, I got a message from my friend. She said, “A lady from a church dropped by my room earlier and gave me COMMUNION, so I RECEIVED JESUS TODAY”.

Praise the Lord! God indeed exceeded my expectations. My friend received JESUS and is now a NEW CREATION in CHRIST, CLEANSED by the power of the Blood of Jesus!

I have continually declared complete HEALING to her body because she is already CLEAN by the power of the word and the presence of the Holy Spirit within her.  This time, my feet are grounded on the solid ground of Jesus’ finished work that BY HIS STRIPES, MY FRIEND IS HEALED!  When we declare a thing it shall be established for the light of God’s favor will shine on our ways.

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  (Isaiah 55:10-11)

While we are still waiting for the test results of my friend’s case, a third confirmation came about and it is in 1 Timothy 4:4-5 “Every creature of God is GOOD and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is SANCTIFIED by the WORD OF GOD and PRAYER!  Indeed it is the Word of God that sanctifies, purifies and cleanses us.

A couple of days later, I “happened to” watch a testimony of Shipmercy.   A surgeon was about to operate a tumor in a young girl’s uterus.  Before the surgeon started the operation, his team prayed for the young girl and led her to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior.  After the operation, the tumor was taken out and when examined it was benign.  Glory to God!

With our walk with God, NOTHING JUST HAPPENS!  There are no coincidences for it is He Who orders our steps.  We need to be aware of what is going on wherever we are at for there are treasures along the path that we can pick up and use.  How can a life of a believer be boring then?

Finally, when the oncologist called my friend up, she was told that no chemo nor radiation is needed.  She only needs follow up for they found it at its lowest stage.  PRAISE THE LORD!

When He speaks, we are to pause and take notice what He is saying that puts our hearts to rest in His goodness, mercy, love and grace.  Indeed, in quietness and confident trust is our strength in Him.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Jesus Christ, as our Good Shepherd.  Thank You for choosing us to be Your sheep who knows Your voice and follow You.  Thank You, Holy Spirit, for taking the word of God from just mere prints of the bible into a living word as You breathe into it the breath of life that gives life to our situations.  Amen!
