A New Thing!

When our hearts are set on seeking Him with unadulterated intentions and diligence, we will see Him face to face, which is the greatest reward one could ever dream of.

“And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek him.” (Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭TPT‬‬)

The cares of this world we’re living in always push and squeeze us to become fully occupied, leaving us no room for time to be spent in the secret place where His secrets are revealed.

The enemy is always on a lookout for those who are easily shaken by his roars to deprive us to hear the true roar of the Lion of Judah that brings righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

I have always been accustomed to living alone for the past two decades. Coming home to a place where quietness in His presence is a luxury and comfort is such a wonderful privilege. Many may not understand how I could live joyfully this way, but for me, it’s one of my greatest treasures.

But not so long ago, there has been a shift to this comfort zone. Because I have an extra room upstairs, I opened it for rent to my best friend’s son after seeking the Lord’s plan and purpose.

Sometimes He puts us in a journey where TRUST is our only invisible lifeline. He takes us to places where He allows us to make decisions to move forward without hesitation. Our only blessed assurance is His promise that said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus‬ ‭33:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The preparation for the room for rent required attention and provision. There were days when my mind was so occupied with questions if I did the right thing or not that somehow stole and crowded out my time of devotion in His presence. Until one day, I had a very strong prompting in my heart to listen to the voice that said, “You cannot isolate yourself all the time to be in perfect peace and fully joyful. You need to learn how to stay in peace and joyful being aware of My presence with people around you even in the midst of unforseen situations. You are not created to be an island. You are created to be in My family, in touch with those I have called you to be divinely connected with.” Ouchhhhh …

Indeed, true peace in not the absence of challenges let alone absence of people around us. True, lasting and perfect peace is only found in His presence.

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭AMPC‬‬)

I am not saying that we should not have our quiet time in His presence. No! In truth we should.

“One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple.” (Psalms‬ ‭27:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Jesus always had intimate moments with the Father at the wee hours of the morning, yet He made Himself available to people around Him apart from those times.

We are not to make ourselves unreached, for our relationship with others are direct expressions that come from our intimacy with the Lord.

Jesus only spoke what He heard the Father saying. He only did what He saw the Father doing. That means, His interactions with those around Him were never separated from His involvement with the people. His life on earth was not compartmentalized. No wonder His Word says, “Whatever you do to the least of the brethren, you do it to Me.”

The Holy Spirit reveals to us the things that are freely given and His way of doing them are not limited to our private time with Him. A lot of my revelations come when I am fellowshipping with people. He puts words in my mouth and quickens my mind to think what He is thinking.

Therefore, let us be open when the Lord brings new things into our lives. In truth, He is always doing A NEW THING! We may be inconvenienced at times but in the end, the benefit is incomprehensible let alone incomparable.

Divine connections are His way of bringing increase into our lives may it be revelation, relationship or provision.

“Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

It is our relationship with Him that births pure obedience that sets us up in walking into His divine plan.
