Many of us have experienced facing sudden uncertainties that were way too big to comprehend let alone handle, but when our hearts and minds are anchored on the truth of the Word of God, it causes us to be still and KNOW that GOD is GOD! He is bigger, mightier, stronger and higher than any mountain that comes against us.
His Word says, “So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” (Luke 17:6 NKJV)
Faith is not wishful thinking! “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 ).” I love the Passion Translation that says “Faith, then, is birthed in a heart that responds to God’s anointed utterance of the Anointed One (Romans 10:17 TPT).”
Jesus Christ is the Anointed One and His anointing. Our smallest measure of authentic faith that responds to the power Word of God that created the world into existence when spoken, allows us to enter in into the realm of impossibility. “For with God, nothing will be impossble (Luke 1:37), and “If you can believe, ALL things are possible to him who BELIEVES.” (Mark 9:23)
Like a soldier on training in preparation before his deployment to the battleground, our equipping comes in meditating the Word of God day and night, night and day, that we may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then we shall make our way prosperous, and then we shall deal wisely and have good success (Joshua 1:8 AMPC). Our weapons are not of this world. For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide (2 Corinthians 10:4 TPT).”
One powerful weapon that we have is prayer. “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working (James 5:16 AMPC). Let our prayer be strongly founded on the Word of God “for it is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).”
We put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD, day in and day out.
“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:10-17)
Today we received a devastating news at our office that caught all if us off guard. Lo and behold, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, I have been taking communion, declaring the Word and praising God almost every morning for two weeks now at my workplace. Amazingly, we also have an instrumental worship songs playing every now and then. I did not know what was coming, but the Holy Spirit knows ALL things and He goes before us to prepare us of what is to come. All by His grace and mercy, my heart was guarded by the Word of God that kept me still when the news broke.
A little after I came home after work, I headed towards my music/worship room. Many times we think of storming or shaking the heavens for answers to our prayers, but when I started to worship, the Holy Spirit said, “You do not storm the heavens for your prayers to be answered! You praise God, you worship God and exalt His name for He has already given you the redemptive solution for your need! When Jesus cried out, “It is FINISHED!, then, “It is FINISHED!” What are you prepared to believe?”
When a 4th stage cancer hits a person, this is way too big a mountain to face. But His word says, “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).” We are to be fully persuaded that sickness and disease do not come from God. Our God is The HEALER! How can The HEALER author sickness and disease? How can our God Who loves us so much do such a thing? NO WAY! His word says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).” He is always on a lookout to inflict fear by any means he can think of because when he successfully does it, it eats up our joy and gets us to feel weak, feeble and sick. He disturbs our intimate relationship with Jesus and leaves us lost in the wilderness. He is there to make us question the power of the Word of God and the finished work of Jesus Christ that fully disarmed (no arms) and defeated (“de-feeted” – no legs) him by the power of the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
Thanks be to God Who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). He gave us the Word to stand on when sickness and disease come upon person.
“SURELY He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)
Sickness and disease are facts and facts change, “for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus Christ is the Word of God made flesh, therefore, His Word is the same yesterday, today and forever.
“The grass withers, the flower fades but the word of our God will stand forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
We put on the GARMENT OF PRAISE instead of a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3)
When overcome by challenges, to praise God is not a norm, thus we offer Him a sacrifice of praise. When we do not feel like praising Him, PRESS ON TO PRAISE HIM for He inhabits the praises of His people. We praise Him by faith knowing that the battle is the Lord’s and He already secured our victory at the cross in Calvary. We do not fight FOR victory. We fight FROM the victory that Jesus WON for us. It is a fight of faith, a GOOD fight of faith!
When Paul and Silas were imprisoned in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks, there was no record of them whining, murmuring and complaining. Instead, they were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. (Acts 16:25-26) PRAISE INDEED BRINGS FREEDOM! PRAISE PRECEDES A MANIFESTED VICTORY!
We choose to believe and receive what Jesus fully, absolutely and completely accomplished and established at the cross. This truth that we are banking on stills our hearts and keeps our hopes high for He Who promised is FAITHFUL and TRUE! We choose to trust in His abounding love that never fails that displaces fear and worry. We choose to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, we let our requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
We BLESS THE LORD for HE IS GOOD and HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!
Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
WHO HEALS ALL YOUR DISEASES,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:1-5)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your Son Jesus Christ Who paid for all our iniquities and healed all our diseases. Thank You, Jesus for withholding nothing from us. For the joy that was set before You, You endured brokenness in your body until it was beyond recognition so that we may be made whole. You died for us that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Holy Spirit, thank You for revealing to us the truth of God’s Word that we may continue to hope with an expectation of good because the word of God NEVER fails. Amen!
P.S. I ask you to agree with us in prayer that by the stripes of Jesus Christ, our employer’s husband is HEALED and WHOLE in Jesus’ Name! Let us rock the heavens with our thanksgiving, praise and worship, for the Lord is GOOD and His mercy endures forever! Amen! Thank you very much.
Beautiful. Yes God is faithful
