“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for YOU ARE WITH ME. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup RUNS OVER. SURELY goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER.” Psalm 23:4-6
The key to life’s provision, may it be in health, wealth, relationship, wisdom, is the PRESENCE OF GOD and His very presence is only accessed through Worship.
Worship is not limited to songs but it could be one of the most powerful avenues. Music touches the hearts of people that tells a story. The lyrics behind it make it more meaningful. But when you find a song and a melody and you give it a way to express how much you love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, you have taken it to its utmost level. Music makes a lot more sense when a worshiping heart finds its song.
When chaos surrounds you, when you hear a sound of a grieving heart because of losing a loved one, or when your bank account is emptied due to insufficiency, or when you are faced with the reality of what the doctor has to say about your health, or whatever challenges you go through, WHAT DO YOU DO? Worship is both an attitude and act of what is essentially internal, a matter of the heart and spirit rooted in the knowledge of and obedience to the revealed Word of God. It is when you RUN INTO the arms of Daddy God fully trusting in His love, in His goodness, in His power because you so believed in what the Word says on WHO HE IS and WHO YOU ARE to HIM.
When we fear NO evil for God is with us, that is worship. Worship causes fear to be quiet and faith to rise! Knowing that He is with us is worship. Being aware of His presence in the midst of a trial is worship. Knowing that His protection is upon us is worship. Knowing that He has unlimited supply of provision is worship. Knowing that His mercy and goodness will HUNT US DOWN all the days of our lives is worship. Living in His presence is worship. SIMPLY KNOWING WHO HE IS IS WORSHIP.
When we fill our thoughts with WHO HE IS and His unfailing, steadfast, covenant love, we silence the noise of life. Worship brings stillness in our hearts in the presence of King Jesus! God is desperate for our presence in His presence to make us more like Him and in Him is PEACE!
