Freely Given

What if what you have desired has already been created when the world was spoken into existence?  That those things were already made available IN CHRIST when His Word said, “IN CHRIST ALL THINGS CONSIST.” (Colossians 1:17 NKJV)

Think with me on this that what the Holy Spirit does is to REVEAL to us the things that HAS ALREADY BEEN FREELY GIVEN.  That they have already existed but they just needed to be unveiled.

“Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might REALIZE and COMPREHEND and APPRECIATE the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] BESTOWED on us by God.”                  1 Corinthians 2:12 AMPC

Haven’t you noticed that that word “BESTOWED” is in the past tense?  In the NKJV version, it says, “FREELY GIVEN to us by God.”

When things are revealed it means that they already exist but are just veiled.  Revelation is revealing or unveiling what was before hidden.  It is like opening a curtain or a door and seeing what’s behind it.  It is an act of disclosing something that has not been known or seen before.   Just like the smart phone makers who make a revelation of their new models.  They have been already made but aren’t just open for us to see.  When the time comes for the next model to come out, what was previously hidden is hidden no longer when it is revealed for all to see.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  The revelation of Himself takes us to adventures in discovering something new of and in HIM every step of the way.  He never changes  but when a facet of His goodness is revealed, it changes us.  He is the GREAT I AM!  Whoever we need Him to be, HE IS and when He reveals Himself, He opens an invitation for us to explore that very nature of His that is according to His character revealed.

His written word never changes, but our perception changes as we continually and constantly meditate on His Word.  When one revelation comes, it feels like finding a treasured gem and our conquest and pursuit of Him never stops.  It get us addicted to His revealed goodness that causes us to cry out … MORE, LORD!

The answers to our prayers are already positioned to be revealed.  He said, “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!”  (Isaiah 34:24 NLT )  That is definitely good news.  But God’s timing is in synchronization to our character.  At times He hides the answers FOR us, for our own good, safety and welfare and NOT FROM us.  He knows what is best for us and when the perfect timing is for it to manifest.  All we need to do is have faith!   Confidently rely on, lean on and trust in Him and NOT rely on, lean on and trust in our own understanding. We are not God, HE IS!   When we trust Him UNCONDITIONALLY, SURELY He’ll work out His plan for us for all He’s got is His best interest for us.

This is faith … “Now faith is the ASSURANCE (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith PERCEIVING AS REAL FACT what is not revealed to the senses].”  Hebrews 11:1 AMPC

Assurance is certainty and a guarantee.  If we were given a title deed of a certain property, then even if we haven’t seen the place yet, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it’s ours with our names in it.  Isn’t that cool?

So, if what you’re believing for isn’t before your eyes yet, take the pressure off yourself. Put the weight of your faith upon His promise for you.  Position yourself, stand still and SEE the mighty wonders and His amazing ways for your breakthrough to come to pass.  You are IN for a surprise and a GLORIOUS ride of adventure in HIM.  REJOICE and again I say, REJOICE!
