Let our worth and value come from God. He is perfect is all of His ways and even with the way He sees you and me, He sees perfection all because of His perfect love fully demonstrated at the cross. He sees the end from the beginning. When He sent Jesus, He gave us His worth and value. He loves us JUST AS He loves Jesus. He is pleased with us JUST AS He is pleased with Jesus. He accepted us JUST AS He accepted Jesus.
If we buy a Channel bag, surely we would pay a price that is equivalent to its value, right? It is true with any other things that we bought or are intending to buy. When we go for a particular name brand, though it’s still a bag that we are buying, the price of it is based on the name. As we always say … “we’re paying for the name and not really the thing.”. A bag with no name won’t have a price tag that’s the same.
Yes, Jesus Christ died for all, but He loves to single us out by pursuing us individually. Our acknowledgment of Him as our Lord and Savior cannot be done by someone else. His desire is to establish an intimate relationship with us to restore us back into Himself but this is impossible to be accomplished WITH the ones dearest to us. Relationship is ONE on ONE! It cannot be done with a multitude. He called you BY YOUR NAME and He said “YOU ARE MINE!” That absolutely speaks of intimacy.
“But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.” Psalm 43:1 NKJV
You and I cannot be validated by the things that we think, do and say. The only sufficiency that we have is in Christ’s sufficiency. We boast in the Lord and not of ourselves. Our identity comes from who we are IN HIM and not with our titles, our possessions and deeds.
I heard one powerful testimony of a famous singer who dreamt to be a superstar at a young age. Yes, she did it to the top but what pressured her was how to stay on top exerting every effort to please the entertainment world. Then she came to realize and came to this thought-provoking question .. “What if I lose my voice? Who will I be? Who am I?” She then took a couple of years off only to devote herself to soul-search and seek the Lord until her identity was established IN CHRIST .. that she is a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords, loved, accepted, and celebrated AS SHE IS and not only when she sings. Her whole life shifted. Now that she knows that she’s the temple of the Holy Spirit Who empowers her gift in singing, she decided with all JOY to go back and dedicate her talent to Lord and woo people into the glory realms of God’s loving embrace. What a powerful testimony.
The less we depend on people and their applause, their criticism, their opinion, the greater we depend on God! What they say to you and about you won’t determine your destiny. God does and God will do as we co-labor with Him to fulfill it.
When we know who we are, constantly and consistently validating ourselves with the Word of God that stands FOREVER, only then we can confidently give value to others.
Value Who God created you to be! Value yourself in agreement to how God created you to be! Then, give value to those around you by seeing them as God created them to be! All these can only be possible NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWER BUT BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD!
