Where am I going?  This is such a profound question that most of us ask yet in its vastness, we have only One Person Who is THE WAY and His name is Jesus Christ.

“Jesus answered, “I Am The Way and The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  John 14:6 NLT

Yes, we only have One True God and there is only ONE WAY to experience our God as a Father, our Abba, our Daddy God, Who so desires to have an experiential walk with His own.  He is more than eager for us to walk with Him and talk to Him in the cool of the day just like how Adam and Eve did before the fall.

Thank God for His unmerited favor, His amazing grace, that even after both of them fell into the enemy’s tricks of deception, HE never distant Himself from them, instead He pursued and never hid from them.  He never withdrew from them yet still allowed them to hear His voice.

“And they HEARD the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.  Then the Lord CALLED to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”  So he said, “I HEARD Your voice in the garden and I was AFRAID because I was naked; and I hid myself.”  Genesis 3:8-10

He never stopped loving us.  He never stopped caring for us.  He never stopped looking after us.  He never stopped providing for us.  He never stopped pursuing us.  BUT our eyes were blinded when FEAR gripped our hearts as a result of the fall that made us HID from Him.  God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  His position never changed!  BUT I believe it’s time for us NOW to know that it is us who need to change the way we think about Who He is and who we are to Him and in Him.

There is only ONE way to cast out all our fears away and it is when we come to  know, when are secure, and when we are confident on how much God loves us.  “Such love has NO FEAR, because PERFECT LOVE EXPELS ALL FEAR. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.”  1 John 4:18 NLT

Truly, our fears are birthed in the knowledge of having punishment as the consequence of doing wrong.  That’s why we fear to fail.  Fear to be judged by the people around us.  So, why not set our perspective right first?  Why not look to JESUS first Who is the full expression of God’s love for you and me.  “SEEK HIM FIRST!  Receive JESUS Who is the SEED OF GOD’S LOVE into our hearts and allow His very Being to grow within us.

“For God SO LOVED the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

Our FIRST agenda is to be restored and reconciled back to the One Who loves us most.  When Adam and Eve fell in the garden, it led us to get disconnected from our Father, our Lord God, Who longs to walk with and talk to us.  We became “spiritual” orphans, full of fear, walking in this world longing so much for love, acceptance and sense of belonging.  BUT God Who is RICH in MERCY and ABOUNDING in LOVE, gave us JESUS, Who suffered and died.  It was His LOVE that nailed Him to the cross for you and me.

“Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,                                                                                   Smitten by God, and afflicted.                                                                                            But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”  Isaiah 53:4-6  NKJV

Our God is a HOLY GOD and holiness is His attribute that nothing else can come near Him without being made holy.  When Jesus washed our slate clean by the power of His blood, He made you and I holy.  Holiness is not wearing long clothes or having your hair long.  It is not how long you pray and how often you fast.  It’s not about our good works but it is all about the finished work of Jesus Christ.  Holiness is only achieved when one is fully and perpetually cleansed, when ALL our iniquities are paid for by the HOLY ONE and allowing us to be filled by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit!  It is not by what we do on our own, but by what He has done that empowered us to do beyond what we can do on our own!  Then, it frees us from demanding ourselves to be holy which is next to impossibility but pressing in to renew our minds by the power of His Word that results in our transformation from the inside out, not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God.  Try it on your own and surely you won’t make it.  Trust Him and rely on His great love, mercy and grace, then, surely it will become a possibility.

Yes, we were spiritual orphans since the fall, BUT when our Lord God gave us JESUS, He opened an invitation for us to be His sons and daughters.  The Second Adam, Jesus, restored us to sonship.  “The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam–that is, Christ–is a life-giving Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 15:45 NLT)  He became the Father of the fatherless. (Psalm 68:5 NKJV)

Yes, we were like sheep that have gone astray, BUT when our Lord God gave us JESUS, He gave us the Good Shepherd Who instructs us and leads us in the way we should go and guides us with His eye.  He is the God Who sees us with knowledge and compassion and leads us.

I believe the only way for us to know where we are going is to know THE WAY, our Lord Jesus Christ.  When we do, it is He Who will take us to this glorious adventures in life.  He will not only lead us to an everlasting life, but also to live life on earth as it is in heaven, in abundance, to the full till it overflows.  It is only He Who knows the end from the beginning.

“The thief comes ONLY in order to steal and kill and destroy.  I CAME that they may HAVE and ENJOY life, and have it IN ABUNDANCE (to the full, till it overflows).

We seek Him first and everything else will be added and that includes our direction in which we are going.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”  John 10:10 NLT
