ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! SHINE (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! Psalm 60:1 AMPC
I believe every revelation that we receive from the Holy Spirit is like adding some wattage to the intensity of the brightness that we carry. The more word revealed to us, the brighter we become and the more opportunity we have to radiate the Light in us through us.
Every encouraging word that we share with people who needs to be lifted up is a light in their darkness. “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people. BUT the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:2) Every smile can lit up someone’s day that brings instant spark of joy. A helping hand lightens the burden that people around us carry.
Little things matter. And little things that we do when done with the love of God impacts those around us in a very special way. The Holy Spirit in us has anointed us to do it. HE not only empowers us to do things but He also adds His value to the things that we do that touches people’s hearts no matter how little it is. After all, we are His hands and feet. We are His mouthpiece and earpiece in the earth. We are vessels of His goodness and our Daddy God’s desire is for the whole earth to be filled with His glory as the waters cover the sea.
I was holding the hands of a one year old “premature baby girl” recently and made declarations in the Word of God while singing. What powerfully touched my heart was when she turned her angelic face towards me to listen to the words spoken and sang as she pressed her cheeks against mine intentionally heeding the voice of the Word of God. I felt like she was drinking the fountain of living water while carefully attending to every word uttered and declared. She breathed in the breath of God, the word of God channeled through the voice of a yielded vessel.
What I did wasn’t much. I just gave voice to the Word of God yet it awesomely touched this lovely little baby girl until she fell asleep in my arms wrapped in the love of Daddy God. Beyond a shadow of any doubt, she recognized and felt so at home in His presence.
You and I are God’s temple of His presence, the Holy Spirit in us. When people encounter us, nothing much happens. But when they encounter the One Who lives inside of us, when they get touched by His amazing love, many things happen that is beyond our comprehension. Let’s not lean on and be limited to what we understand but let’s put our trust in the One Who is willing and able to touch others with His perfect love through you and me. Faith indeed is activated and energized and expressed and working through love.
“So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31 AMPC
