“How precious are Your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!
I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
You are still with me!” Psalm 139:17-18 NLT
Every time I think of this verse, it simply makes my head tilt yet warms and overwhelms my heart. Truly His thoughts of us are beyond comprehension. How many? COUNTLESS … cannot be numbered for it outnumbers the grains of sand! Wow!
When His word interprets His word, we get anchored into the truth of who we are. Yes, His thoughts are countless and yes, He is MINDFUL of you and me. In simple terms, His mind is FULL of us.
“What is man that You are MINDFUL of him,
And the son of [earthborn] man that You CARE for him?” Psalm 8:4 AMP
Come to think of it, when was the last time you can remember when someone filled your thoughts and consumed you? Hmmmm … I’m sure he/she was one person whom you were madly in love with. You didn’t just love the person but you deeply cared for him/her as well.
I believe it’s the same way with our Daddy God. He thinks of us 24/7. Remember, He never sleeps nor slumbers but watches over us and constantly thinking of us. He so deeply loves us that He gave Jesus for us to be forever reconciled to Him, restoring the love relationship that He originally intended for us to have with Him. He sent the Holy Spirit to abide in us forever that you and I be eternally, divinely, consistently and constantly connected with Him in spirit and in truth. Only with our intimate relationship with Him where He can convey to us in a million and one ways of making Himself and His steadfast love known to us.
What then are these thoughts? They are GOOD thoughts that pertain to our life and godliness. They are for our well-being. They are thoughts that cover every area of our lives that we may live a nothing-missing, a nothing-broken and a nothing-missing life. They are those that give us hope for a beautiful future.
“For I KNOW the THOUGHTS and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, THOUGHTS and plans FOR WELFARE and PEACE and not for evil, to give you HOPE in your final outcome.” Jeremiah 29:11 AMPC
When you think of the best thoughts that we have for our loved ones, HOW MUCH MORE His thoughts of us? “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:9 AMPC)
Bottom line is that when we think good thoughts about ourselves, it makes us feel good. What MORE when we constantly think and meditate on HIS THOUGHTS toward us that are higher? As we fill ourselves with what He is thinking of us, surely it edifies us. It changes our thought patterns and cause them to be engraved in our hearts. When our hearts are filled with His thoughts of us, then they become a part of us and living it out will be inevitable.
How are these thoughts relayed? Well, He’s got an incomprehensible way of showing it. Think with me in this … if there are one hundred people looking at the white flower at the above photo, there could possibly be one hundred thoughts that can be thought of depending each one’s perspective. His awesome thoughts of you can be distinctively special just for you because we are created differently, fearfully and wonderfully. As we share our own thoughts of how He has revealed Himself to you, surely it will enlarge us at the same time teaches us to embrace our differences.
Surely when we are in love, we FIND ways and means to get to the one we love. Not just that, we press in to relay our thoughts and love messages to that person in most creative ways. Well, we have the nature of our Daddy God Who is the Creator of all where our creativity comes from. Our ingenious and inventive character, wanting to be the ORIGINAL in our own ways flowed from our being created according to His image and likeness. Being a Father to His children, He is giving us our ultimate enjoyment of what we’ll do for all eternity, being creative in ways and means according to the seed of greatness that He has deposited in us. It is an identity that doesn’t cease to exist. Now, I’m beginning to realize why people love to make engagements and marriage proposal, to name a few, so unique and distinct because we have that innate, inborn, built-in attribute of creativity.
Know what you are thinking. Listen to what you are speaking. When you find yourself feeling low, trace it back to what you are thinking and shift it by giving thanks to start with. Remember, what you are thankful for are for the things that come from the ONE you are thankful to. On the other hand, when you hear yourself talking words that are conformed to HIS GOOD THOUGHTS toward you, thoughts for welfare and peace, you know where they come from.
His thoughts of us always produce a good fruit in us.
