Limitless God!

What do we do when we are overwhelmed by life’s circumstances?  What do we do when our boat is beginning to be filled with water as it is tossed to and fro by the winds and waves of the sea?  What do we do when we feel like we are in a pit of darkness where even a spark of light we are unable to see?

Jesus, the HOPE of glory, is the Answer!

One thing that we need to know is that we live in a fallen world.  Secondly, know that we have an enemy who is the father of lies who majors in keeping us in darkness.  Thirdly, one powerful truth that will make us keep still and keep going is that our Heavenly Father already gave us the best solution ever.  Because of His great love for you and me, He GAVE His only Begotten Son, Jesus, to set us FREE!

Yes, majority thinks that life is not fair.  Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.  But one thing that we are rest assured of is that God is faithful. Yes, it takes faith to believe that everything happens for a reason.  It also takes faith to believe that our lives go according to our choices.  It takes faith to believe that no matter what happens God is always ever ready to save us.  He is our ever present help in time of need.  It takes faith to believe that what the devil meant for evil, God can always turn it around for our favor.  It also takes faith to believe that when we call upon HIM He will answer us and show us great and mighty things that we do not  know.

No one really knows what will happen in the next few minutes of our lives that puts us in limbo, fearful of the unknown, BUT thank God, His word says that He has already gone before us for it is He Who holds the future.  He knows our end from the beginning. Unless one has a relationship with Him, one can be susceptible and vulnerable to the lies of the enemy.  Only our awareness of Him Who is the Truth will make us sufficient in strength, wisdom and truth.

I, for one, was in fear for a long time.  I was fearful of a lot of things.  Though I had money in my pocket, I was in fear if I get robbed.  With money in the bank, I was fearful what if the bank just goes bankrupt in an instant?  If I was in a plane, what if it will crash?  All the what ifs that you could think of, I probably thought of them.  BUT then again, God Who is rich in mercy and abounding in love rescued me when I called upon Him in desperate need of safety and security.   It wasn’t in an instant.  The transition is in process.  The revelation of Who He is in my life still continues to today.

One of the ways that God powerfully used to open my eyes was The 700 Club with Pat Robertson and Terry Meeuwsen.  At that point in time, it was the only TV program  that was aired after midnight while I laid awake thinking of a lot of things that led me to have sleepless nights.  My mind was in constant motion.  Until one day I realized how the show impacted my life.  I wasn’t conscious of the spiritual development that happened on the inside of me but one thing I suddenly noticed, after a few years of watching, was that I was no longer fearful.

I used to collect a lot of inspirational books to find answers to my questions but nothing satisfied my quest and queries until the Lord touched my heart and led me to read and meditate on His word.  Now, His word is a vital part of my life.  It is the plumb line, the standard, and the final authority in which I have submitted myself to knowing that His will for me is found in His Word revealed by Holy Spirit.  His word creates boundaries of safety and security for His good and perfect plan for me.  It brings me so much joy when light bulbs are turned on for me to see revelations upon revelations.

Truly, when I believed and received Jesus in my heart, everything changed.  My thoughts changed.  My perception changed.  My desires changed.  It didn’t happen overnight.  In fact, I am still in the learning process, a work in progress, seeking for more of Him, for once I have tasted and seen how good He is, my longing for more of Him couldn’t be sufficed.  I am like a bottomless well that cannot be filled.

With Jesus, WHO IS THE HOPE OF GLORY, one can never remain hopeless in a storm, in darkness or when overwhelmed by circumstances.  Hopelessness is not in His vocabulary.  He is the HOPE of glory, the confident expectation and joyful anticipation of good things that are about to surprise you.  His goodness and mercy will pursue and hunt you down all the days of your life (Psalm 23:6).  He is The Way where there seems to be no way.  He is the Truth that silences all the lies. He is Life.

Be reminded that the only one who remains hopeless forever is the enemy.  Be watchful of his slithering schemes that make you subtly think “you are a hopeless case.”  Be quick to discern when you are depressed.  Think of what you are thinking.  Depression is one of the results of stinking thinking that only means one thing, “you are thinking like him.” Rise up!  Rise above such thinking and tap into the thoughts that God has for you.  His mind of full of you and He cares for you (Psalm 8:4).

His word says we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).  As we constantly and consistently meditate His word day and night, night and day,  our minds get renewed resulting to think like Jesus thinks.  Right thoughts come in to our minds that produce right words that come out from our mouths and right decisions when caught in a crossroad.

A renewed mind thinks that WITH GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!  An unrenewed mind is limited to man’s own ability to do things which leads to unbelief and disappointments, thus murmuring and complaining are inevitable.  The gauge is, LISTEN TO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING!  Words of gratitude, praise and worship come from a heart that believes.

“The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”  (Luke 6:45 ESV)

We have a LIMITLESS GOD Who can do all things let alone willing to do them, all because of HIS GREAT LOVE for us.
