Our life expresses what we believe. It is a life from the inside out.
The beauty lies in the truthful reality that God is FOREVER with us. He promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us and never in a millisecond that His presence is not present in our midst regardless of what we perceive with our senses.
The manifestation of His power and presence isn’t in the absence of challenges, but it is in our awareness that He empowers, strengthens and gives us the ability to withstand whatever comes against us. Indeed, “Greater is He Who is in us than who is in this world.” (1 John 4:4) There is no trial that comes along our way that He didn’t think of and paid for when He cried out at the cross, “IT IS FINISHED!” He is the Onmiscient God Who is ALL-knowing, ALL-wise and ALL-seeing. He is the Superlative of all superlatives yet in His greatness, His passionate heart is filled with you and me, that even the number of hairs we have on our heads He knows.
His ever-present Presence is the blessed assurance that we have that whatever comes our way, He already won them for us. He deprived them of power to harm us and have conquered them for us. What is left for us to do is BELIEVE, RECEIVE and WALK in the victory that He conquered. “Thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.” (2 Corinthians 2;14)
What do we do then to walk in the victory that He has conquered for us? Let us focus our eyes on the finished work of Jesus Christ, by meditating on His Word day and night. Jesus is “The Word” therefore He is always speaking. Let us take time to pause and ponder. Take time to listen to what He is speaking as we dial in into His frequency and obey.
I was scheduled for my US VISA interview one day. In our country, it is always a challenge to get one for many have experienced being denied the issuance of it. For months, I had the unction to renew but I didn’t bother until the hour came when the prompting became so strong that I couldn’t push it away any longer. I had to do it right away. It was such a conviction that propelled me to move.
Upon submission of my application, I simply closed my eyes and asked the Lord for an open a slot on a Tuesday and yes, when I opened their interview calendar, the first available day was a Tuesday. Hallelujah! With such confirmation, my heart rested knowing that He Who began a good work in me is faithful to finish it.
While waiting for that appointed day, there were distinct whispers of the enemy hovering around my head trying to inflict fear into my heart. There were people uttering discouraging “what if” words, though some spoke in confidence that I will get it. In the midst of all this, I was checking my heart every now and then if there was a seed of fear that was able to take root, but thank God for His mercy and grace that peace was all I could see. His presence was indeed a shield to me making me a fortified city, a bronze pillar and an iron wall. I was unmovable and undaunted as I put my trust on His love and His goodness.
When that designated day came, I inquired of the Lord for a revealed word that I will carry with me into the interview. And yes, when we ask, He surely answers us and shows us His great and mighty wonder.
“My presence will go with you and I will give you rest. I will give you success. I will see the journey to the end.” (Exodus 33:14 NKJV, TLB, MSG)
I showed up before the interviewer armed with confidence that His presence will see me through. When we become so aware of His presence that means we, too, become aware of His move. It is when He speaks in and through us, quickening our mortal bodies as our wills are enthralled in His love. We get yielded into His orchestration of the whole thing allowing His kingdom’s atmosphere to invade where we are. We see His lordship manifesting before our very eyes. We see His love being the wall of fire around us and the glory within us. Before I knew it, with just four very simple questions, it was over and yes, I got a 10-year multiple visit visa. Glory to God.
“God, everyone SEES Your goodness, for Your tender love is blended into everything You do.” (Psalm 145:9 TPT)
He knows the end from the beginning but the battle in our minds lies on our every step journey in life. The “what ifs” that cause fear are to be disarmed. It is the fear of the unknown, fear of “what’s next” is what paralyzes us. But our confident expectation is to be rooted on what He has spoken in His word that He goes before us to straighten our paths and level our ways. He is forever merciful and abounding in love that He gave us this weapon that is not carnal but mighty in God in pulling down the strongholds of our thoughts that cloud our hope to see His goodness. HIS LOVE is what conquers all. His love that is revealed in His word and powerfully demonstrated by Jesus Christ is one weapon that no foe can come against. There is no fear in love but His perfect love drives out fear. (1 John 4:18)
“You are fair and righteous in everything You do, and Your love is wrapped into all Your works.” (Psalm 145:17)
Be aware of His love! Everything that we see in our lives is interwoven into how much He loves us. Our consciousness of His love is what sees us through even in the darkest moments of our lives. His love never fails.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You, for Your ever-present Presence in our midst, may it be just an ordinary day or a day when we seek You more and need You more. We know deep in our hearts that when we call upon You, You always show up and show off Your goodness that will always leave us wonderfully in awe of Who You are. Thank You, Jesus, for always speaking PEACE into our hearts by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us. Thank You for Your great love that is continually poured into our hearts every moment of our lives. Thank You for opening our eyes to SEE Your wonder at all times. Amen!
