The Generosity of God

Who can outgive the Creator of all and the Giver of life? No one!!! Even in the midst of our mindlessness, He continues to be mindful of us.

“What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?” (Psalm‬ ‭8:4‬)

I was scammed just through a text message a few years back. All I thought was that one of my friends asked me to partner with her in a small business, little did I know that a few minutes after I sent the money, it suddenly dawned on me that something was wrong and that it was a scam without anyone telling me but the Holy Spirit.

The very moment I knew, I just kept quiet. Shortly after, I whispered and said my prayer, “Oh Lord, with You on my side, You will always cause me to triumph. You will turn things around for my favor. With you is always a win-win situation no matter what.” Then, I started to thank God for being so gracious that it wasn’t such a big amount.

In spite of the wrong things happening in our lives, we always have reasons to thank God for. His praise shall continually be in our mouths. When we do, we enter into the awareness of His presence that casts out all our fears and worries away and are powerfully replaced with peace and joy that makes us strong and courageous.

I so believed in my heart that the Lord will bring the money back to me DOUBLE! I so believed in His generosity that even when I fell short of His glory by being negligent, He will still come through for me because His word says, “Vengeance is Mine. I will repay.” (Romans 12:19) It was not that I thought ill of the scammer, but by the grace of God, He made me speak a blessing towards that person by my words, a gesture of generosity indeed.

Then I heard the Lord said, “What was stolen from you will be turned into seeds wherein you will yield a harvest of double portion when your heart is set to bless the scammer.” Oh wow! From that time on, all I declared and spoke were blessings, blessings and blessings.

A couple of weeks later, someone gave me a check with the amount that was DOUBLE of what was stolen from me. Hallelujah!!! It may have not come from the scammer himself, but the Lord’s promise of a double portion came to pass. Our God indeed is a GENEROUS Father. Glory to God!

The promptings of the Lord spoken into our hearts may be too good to be true, but who are we to argue? The gospel is called THE GOOD NEWS, therefore only GOOD and PERFECT GIFTS come from our Father of Lights.

Jesus became sin Who knew NO SIN that we may become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Christ.

Jesus became a curse for us that we may be BLESSED!

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Galatians‬ ‭3:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

We are called BELIEVERS, therefore we are called to BELIEVE in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His finished work that made us worthy to receive, explore and experience the unsurpassing generosity of our Heavenly Father.

What manner of a father will you be to be able and willing to give up your son as a ransom for the unworthy many? Only our Generous Heavenly Father is able and willing because of His great love for you and me.

“For this is how much God loved the world—He GAVE His one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life.” (John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭TPT‬‬)
