And It Came To Pass

Indeed our expectation is God’s invitation.  This may be contrary to what many may think, but truly the Word of God is not subject to man’s opinions.  How can we pray and not expect the Lord to answer our prayer?  We might as well not pray!  The only way we can be fully convinced is when we go back to His Word and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He will do what He says He will do.  If it is His will and His will is in His Word, then, who are we to question?

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”  (1 John 5:14-15)

In my previous blog  Speak The Word Only, it was all about the integrity of the Lord expressed in the integrity of His Word.  We can never find a promise in His Word that He has spoken and not expect it to come to pass.  The Lord and The Word are one.  In truth, in Revelation 19:13 it says, “His name is called the Word of God.”

In it was a prayer request sent to me through a text message with three intentions from my friend whose friend’s daughter underwent surgery.  What they are praying for was that only the cyst will be taken out from the ovary and not the whole ovary, that the cyst will not be cancerous and that it will not recur.

Yes, the Lord was gracious, merciful and faithful to reveal to me the promises in His Word to stand on.  Yes, there were many doubting and lying thoughts that passed my mind with all the “what ifs”, but the Holy Spirit always quickens us and redirects our thoughts to the TRUTH of His spoken word.  Now, we have a CHOICE!  We always have a CHOICE because of the gift of FREE WILL that He gave us.  When I chose to believe on the power and authority of what the Lord has spoken, my heart was at rest.

Lo and behold, today I got a text message from my friend saying, “the cyst was extracted and benign.  Praise God!  Thanks for the prayers.”   All glory and praise to the One Who is worthy of it all, Jesus Christ!

Answered prayer is all about the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that although we may not feel worthy to receive His spoken promise, His Blood has spoken and fulfilled it 2000 years ago and made us worthy.  His favor is unearned, undeserved and unmerited.  Jesus came that we may have and enjoy life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

Answered prayer is all about the great love of our Heavenly Father Who gave His only beloved and begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life.  It was His deep love that sent Jesus Christ to the cross so that Jesus took what we deserve in exchange to this wonderful truth that we may enjoy what He deserves, a life fully, wholly and intimately intertwined with our Heavenly Father, making us His sons and daughters of the Most High God.

“As many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” (John 1:12)

Answered prayer is all about the Holy Spirit breathing life into the Word of God that we believe and decree into existence.  It is in our fellowship with Him where He opens our eyes to see the things that He has freely given us.  Jesus paid for all sickness and disease that we may freely receive what was paid for at His suffering, death and resurrection.  Receiving what He paid for allows us to experience the power of His resurrection, from sickness to healing, and giving Him the reward of His suffering where His body was bruised and broken for our wholeness.

Answered prayer is all about the Word of God that is more powerful than impossibility.  When we are founded on His Word, we have the security and stability of God that postures us to see it come to pass.

Think with me on this.  If the unsaved centurion who told Jesus, “Speak the Word ONLY and my servant shall be healed.” (Matthew 8:8), SAW his decree came into existence after Jesus spoke to him, “Go your way and as you have believed, so let is be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.” (Matthew 8:13), how much more for us, believers, who are filled with the Holy Spirit, graced and enabled to believe and receive His Word that is meant to be made flesh and manifest before our very eyes?

If His Word says we are VICTORS, believe and receive it!

If His Word says by His stripes we are HEALED and WHOLE, believe and receive it!

If His Word says we are OVERCOMERS and MORE THAN CONQUERORS, believe and receive it!

If His Word says we are the APPLE OF HIS EYE, believe and receive it!

If His Word says we are GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED AND DEEPLY LOVED by the Most High God Who is our Heavenly Father, believe and receive it!

When He speaks to us through His Word, let then our response be, “BE IT DONE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD” and  IT SHALL COME TO PASS.

“I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”  (Psalm 138:2)
