“But the hour is coming, and NOW IS, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24 NKJV
Sometimes nothing much is said when we come into the Presence of God. Thinking of how awesome and amazing He is is more than enough to plow our hard-cracked-clay hearts and cause it to melt and get undone when touched by the river of His love.
I used to just sit down and utter no words but close my eyes and think of the wonderful things the Lover of my soul has done in my life. Yes, it takes time and patience to sit still doing nothing, gearing our thoughts to be locked into His beauty, because we are so used to the speedily and instancy of life but HE IS WORTHY OF IT ALL.
At times I just sit down and worship with my piano and let the flow of my heart run through my fingers and into its black and white keys. After a number of years of seeking, my hands found their resting place to worship the One Who is worthy of my worship.
He is always available, approachable, embraceable and reachable with “His eyes running to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9) He is just waiting for you and me to turn our thoughts and affection to Him for Him to express Himself, His love, His compassion, His mercy, His love, His grace to you and me.
Take time today. Close your eyes, whisper His name “JESUS” and invite Him to come in to your heart. He is more than passionate than our eagerness for Him to come to us.
