Our Abba Father is always in the business of introducing Himself to us in new, fresh and living ways that will take us deeper into the glory realms of His love. It is in our knowledge of knowing Him that takes us into the adventures of exploring and experiencing Who He truly is according to His spoken words of promises.
Sometimes it would feel like we are being invited to take a roller coaster ride with Him. There are many of us who refuse to even consider riding. Another set of us will queue up for the ride but as we go nearer and nearer, witnessing and hearing the screams of those who took the ride, may opt and reconsider not to go ahead. But there are a few who will brave to trust God with all of their hearts, leaning not on their own understanding, but acknowledging Him in all of their ways as He directs their paths.
It is in this journey where we will come to know experientially what He means by what He says, “Behold, I AM with you always.” Or maybe visualize ourselves to lean back and enjoy our journey knowing that His arms are our seat belts that keep us still, safe and secure. We take courage knowing that it will be an incredible, full of surprises, wild, and fun adventure ahead.
The sharp turns, the sudden rise and fall, the abrupt turnarounds and quick reversals that make us uncomfortable will position us to uncover the truth of the ONE Who never loosens His grip on us, never leaving us, never deserting us nor forsaking us, nor even letting us down as we cast all our cares to Him knowing that HE CARES for us.
“I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] Hebrews 13:5 AMPC
Let’s BE ENCOURAGED and BE OF GOOD CHEER then, for we will be riding ON TRACK because Daddy God’s love will always keep us ON TRACK. The tracks that He laid out before us are ordained and ordered by Him therefore they are meant for our divine glorious destinies. And if somehow, somewhere we go off track, His love and faithfulness will woo us back. He is not a Father who condemns but He is a Father who is always in the rescuing and restoring business saying, “GO and sin no more.” He is a Father who always gives HOPE in spite of our shortcomings. Somewhere along the way we will hear Him say “RECALCULATING, RECALCULATING” and take us back to where we were supposed to be, BACK ON TRACK. He is a Father Who is full of faith on what He is doing in our lives.
You see, if a GPS can do it, why can’t HE? A GPS (Global Positioning System) is a network of orbiting satellites that send precise details of their position in space back to earth. The signals are obtained by GPS receivers, such as navigation devices and are used to calculate the exact position, speed and time at the vehicles location. Our GPS is GOD’S POSITIONING SPIRIT. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of the Lamb of God, Jesus, Who is PERFECT in every way. He knows ALL things, the deep things of God. He knows all about you and I and all that we need for this journey in life. The best thing is that it is He Who reveals to us all things that God has already given and made ready for us. When we put our trust in Him Who deeply loves us and who only has what is best for us, then the spirit of fear is dislodged from our lives. It is fear that steals our destinies but it is the perfect love of God that casts it out away from us and enables us to take courage, step out in faith and finish strong in Him.
So why not take and partake His invitation of us journeying with Him, in Him and through Him? Why not say “YES, LORD, HERE I AM, SEND ME!”? Our knowledge of Him will always posture us to greater heights of our life’s adventure with Him. Our journey to the unknown may make us uncomfortable but when we take our first step into the roller coaster ride, sit down and relax, and have a mindset of abandoning ourselves into the hands of our Loving Daddy God, we will discover how awesomely great and mighty He truly is.
I’ve heard somewhere that among all of God’s creation, only man was given this gift of minding the future. Yes, there are advantages for us to prepare for the future but one great disadvantage is that without God, we have a strong propensity to worry about what our future holds. Then I figured out … hmmmm … that’s why His word says, “don’t worry! … look at the birds!”
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? LOOK AT THE BIRDS. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Matthew 26:25-27 NLT
Honestly, I haven’t heard a bird chirping or singing sadly. Their sound is always a sound of life, full of joy and enthusiasm. Even in the midst of a strong wind, I see them sheltering themselves by my window still sounding joyful. Why not learn from these little beautiful creations? Our sound of praise always denotes and demonstrates that we trust God more than we trust in ourselves. Our sound of worship refocuses our attention to our God Who values and views us much more than what we can think or imagine.
Relax, enjoy and discover the beauty of Who He is as we take on this journey of knowing and fellowshipping with the One Who is worthy of our very being. IT’S GOING TO BE A WILD RIDE, AN EXCITING ONE AND GREAT LIFE!
“God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and He makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; He strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.”
Psalm 18:30-36 NLT
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for being The Way into our loving Daddy God’s embrace, securing us every step of the way. Holy Spirit, have your Way into our lives. We trust in Your guidance as You pour your wisdom upon us. Help us to see beyond what we can see with our own physical eyes and into the perspective of soaring high in eagle’s wings in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
