If having a GREAT GOD Who loves us deeply is the focal point in our lives, it puts a stop to the limitations that we are in and causes our murmurs and complains to cease.  It terminates FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) and cultivates our confidence that indeed there is NOTHING impossible with Him.

“For the Lord is a GREAT GOD, a great King above ALL gods.  He holds in His hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains.”  Psalm 95:3-4 NLT

In this world, we all have challenges to face whether great or small.  No two trials are identical though it may appear similar, therefore no two solutions are exactly the same.  I believe this is the reason why God instructs us to seek Him first and His ways of doing not just what is right but also what is the best way to do it.

I woke up one morning and the first thing I did was reach out for my phone.  I try not to have a habit of doing this because once browsing starts, it’s hard to stop. But then, it happened.

I watched a short clip of an eerie magical talent.  It was weird and scary.  Thinking that it may turn to a brighter mode towards the end, I watched the whole video clip.  Once done, the video played in my mind over and over again especially that particular portion where one of the judges screamed help while being photographed by the girl (from the front) and when the polaroid photo came out, the girl was found behind the judge.

Moments later I have sensed that fear was beginning to creep in and I did not like how I felt.  I almost condemned myself for watching it but when I caught myself heading towards that direction, I changed my declaration to inquire of the Lord on how to reverse what I just saw and likewise change the effect in me.

Almost instantly, I heard this in my spirit, “When the judge called for help, the girl immediately was found behind.  What did the girl do?  Nothing! Her gestures inflicted fear not just to the judge but to the people who were watching.  BUT when you call upon ME, I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you don’t know.  I just don’t show up for nothing, but I will show up and show off what I can do for you.   When I show up, I AM PEACE!  I don’t inflict fear but I cast it out.  I AM LOVE and my perfect love for you will cast out all your fears away.  When you cry for help, in an instant you will be aware of My presence, for My ears are attentive to your cry for mercy.”

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.”  Psalm 34:15 NKJV

 

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of ALL their troubles.”  Psalm 35:17 NKJV

Oh wow … what a revelation.  Remember that the enemy is a counterfeit.  He always copies what God can do and make it appear like he’s got what God’s got.  Our God doesn’t have equal nor rival and the enemy is just a created being.  He is not the opposite of God.  He is way below our GREAT GOD Who is our Heavenly Father.  In truth, you and I were given the authority to trample serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy that nothing shall by any means hurt us (Luke 10:19).

When our awareness of Who Jesus is and what He has done becomes a reality in our lives and His presence in the power of Holy Spirit living inside of us becomes our norm, then just as the enemy is under Jesus’ feet, it must be under ours.

“I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.  He freed me from all my fears.”  (Psalm 34:4 NLT)

When the love of our Daddy God is the reality in our daily lives, then fear should not have a rightful place to stay in our hearts.  After all, He has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).  It is our renewed mind that constantly and consistently thinks VICTORY over the power of the enemy.

 

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for always heeding the voice of Your children as we cry out to You needing answers to every inquiry that we have.  Your word indeed is the lamp upon our feet and light unto our path that brings clarity when our minds are confused and our hearts are fearful.  Jesus, thank You, that because of Your finished work we can posture ourselves not to stay afraid when caught unaware, when what we do gets us into a trap.  I know You are my Redeemer Who lives, Whose eyes go to and fro throughout the earth showing Yourself strong when we are weak.  Holy Spirit, thank You, for quickening our thoughts and re-calibrating them according to the plumb line of Your word.  Amen!
