Filled And Flooded!

Have you ever come across a verse that keeps popping up every now and then because it gets you to a place where your mind boggles due to its awesomeness?  And every time it comes, it brings new and fresh revelation that gives way to the power of His word to dig deeper into your heart.  That itself is breakthrough for me.

God’s love is meteoric,
    His loyalty astronomic,
His purpose titanic,
    His verdicts oceanic.
Yet in His largeness
    nothing gets lost;
Not a man, not a mouse,
slips through the cracks.  (Psalm 36:5-9 MSG)

The vital discovery of a revealed word truly brings fullness of joy and peace that surpasses all understanding.  It is when we hear Him speak in our spirits that births something from deep within that makes us strong and confident.  The best part of it is that it doesn’t just stop there.  Revelation has feet.  The Holy Spirit woos us with such deep longing and loving invitation to explore and experience what He just unveiled before our eyes to see.

I was praying one night and I asked Holy Spirit to fill me and flood me with the richest measure of His divine presence.  I kept pressing in and pressing on but it seemed like I wasn’t getting anything nor getting anywhere.  I tried to convince myself not to bank on my five senses but just to go by faith and believe in the truth that He lives inside of me.  I was persuading myself that I am His temple, His dwelling place, but sometimes I get frustrated when I don’t feel anything.  Have you ever felt this way?  Have you ever heard yourself praying like a clanging cymbal that the sound of your voice just bounces back?  I have.  But one thing with me is that I don’t give up easily.  I still try to press in because it just blesses me so much if I feel something.  My hunger for His presence drives me to do more.  But no matter how I tried, I felt just nothing at all.  I ended up pleading the Blood of Jesus over my dreams for that night and asking Him to show me the dreams and desires that He has for me.

The very next day, I woke up with a video posted by one of my friends.  It was all about Louie Giglio’s “How Great Is Our God.”  I have watched this video many times in the past, but this time it brought in new light that catapulted me into a different level.  As I was watching it, it once again brought me into a place of being in awe of how truly GREAT, MIGHTY, AWESOME, MAJESTIC, POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL to its highest degree He is.  Everything of Him is SUPERLATIVE!  He only comes LARGE and there’s nothing in Him that is less than that.

I love the word that says, “The LORD merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He BREATHED the word, and all the stars were born.”  (Psalm 33:6 NLT)  If we think of this closely, that He breathed the stars into existence, how enormously and inconceivably great He is.

It gets funny sometimes how we tend to advise Him what and how we want our needs to be met in a very set way where our expectations get locked in there.  And if He doesn’t show up the very way we expect, we get questions in our minds if He ever heard us.  But HE TRULY DOES!  Our slightest whispers are magnified in His ears because we have His full attention as His beloveds all because of the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross that made us His temples not made by human hands.  If we truly believe that He lives inside of us, then we are one with Him and can never be separated from Him.  He is as close to us as the mention of His name.

I love what Heidi Baker said, “Any place can become a place of encounter because the Spirit of God has made you His home.”

He fearfully and wonderfully made us to be intimately connected to Him.  The creation of men was dependent upon His one breath. “The LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and BREATHED into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” (Genesis 2:7 ESV)  How His breath brought life to mankind.

Come to think of it, His breath made the heavens which still exists in full glory to today.  At the same time His breath formed our inward parts and infused you and I with His glorious presence and fashioned us according to His purpose why He created us. His sovereignty and power has no limits yet in His greatness, He never fails to personally acquaint Himself with His own.

I love what I heard from this video about “Laminin”. There may be theological differences on how we view this thing but I believe it all depends on the revelation it brings to one particular person personally.  For me, it brought a powerful effect in me when I asked the Lord to fill me and flood me with Himself.  When I heard its function and saw how it looks, my eyes were opened into a new revelation that my body is full of Himself.

Laminin is a protein found in the extracellular matrix, the sheets of protein that form the substrate of all internal organs also called the basement membrane. It is the major non-collagenous component of the basal lamina, such as those on which cells of an epithelium sit. It has four arms that can bind to four other molecules. The three shorter arms are particularly good at binding to other laminin molecules, which is what makes it so great at forming sheets.  The long arm is capable of binding to cells, which helps anchor the actual organs to the membrane.

Louie Giglio said, “Within the human body, your body, is a little protein molecule called laminin.  Laminin is a cell adhesion molecule. The stuff that hold our bodies together, that holds the lining of your organs together, that holds your skin on is in the perfect shape of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Then, I thought to myself, “YOU have indeed filled and flooded me with YOURSELF, Lord, not just in the spiritual sense but even in the physical composition of my body. How You answered me with great and mighty things when I inquired of YOU.  You are indeed faithful and true that when we call upon you, You answer.”

“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).”  Jeremiah 33:3 AMPC

How wonderful it is to think that in spite of the greatness of our God, He never fails to take notice of us that even the number of hairs that we have on our heads He knows. He knows when we sit and when we rise. He knows the thoughts in our minds and intents of our hearts.  He knows when is the best time to unveil our eyes to see the fenced in and hidden things, the mystery of how He beautifully created us.  He is so mindful of us much more than we are even mindful of ourselves.  He knows us beyond we know ourselves.

“Yet in His largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks.”  (Psalm 36:9 MSG)

Truly no one escapes how He sees us beautifully and loves us deeply.  He fashioned us according to His image and likeness and that’s what He desires to see.  If the world is sustained by the word of His power, how much more He sustains you and I who are the apple of His eyes.

“And He Himself existed before all things, and IN HIM all things consist (cohere, are held together.” (Colossians 1:17 AMPC)

Prayer:  Abba, Father, thank You, for revealing to us who we are and how You fearfully and wonderfully created us according to Your image and likeness. Thank You, Jesus, for withholding nothing, not even Yourself, and gave us LIFE and HOPE to see Your glory in and through us.  Holy Spirit, help us to see ourselves the very way You see us, how You opened our eyes to see that even our mortal bodies are fully composed of Yourself.  Truly You have filled and flooded us with nothing less than Yourself.  Amen.
