Be A Seeker!

Ten minutes before the strike of midnight for 2018, I pressed on for His personalized word for me that will keep me focused and on track for the year.  We know that His word is timely at the same timeless.  It is the same yesterday, today and forever.  And YES, because He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, He gave me “my word” for 2018.

“ONE THING I have asked of the Lord, and that I will seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life,
To gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.” (Psalm 27:4 AMP)

In as much as the whole world was gazing upon the fireworks here and there which was great to witness and enjoy, in which I took a peek every now and then, but after while, I chose to gaze upon His beauty much more than anything and uttered songs of thanksgiving, praise and worship that sounded louder than the sound of the firecrackers and fireworks, with my own heart’s intentions.  It was a moment of communion that encapsulated me in His presence where the fullness of joy is found.

We all have choices to make in front of a buffet of opportunities.  We all have desires that delight us.  We all have plans to fulfill and goals to meet for this year.   But ONE THING NEEDFUL AND NECESSARY is to “seek the Lord and His strength and to seek His presence continually.” (Psalm 105:4)

May we be like Mary who was found to be seated at the Lord’s feet and was CONTINUALLY listening to His teaching.  We may do what we have been designated to do with our responsibilities in life, but not to such extent of being so consumed, busied and distracted that may cause us to be worried, bothered and anxious about so many things.  Let us not forget the ONLY ONE THING that is necessary and that is to choose the good part of seeking the Lord’s face in prayer, requiring His presence as our greatest need and necessity in the authority of His word which is for our own advancement and benefit that will not be taken away from us.

The height of our breakthroughs is determined by how deep we go with our intimacy with God.  When we are rooted and grounded in His love for us, only then He can take us to the highs that is measured by the sturdiness of our firm foundation in Christ.  The beauty of our fruitfulness lies in the depth of our roots that is growing deep, spreading and seeping from the river that flows from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Therefore, we don’t go for the things, but we seek Him first and ALL these things shall be ADDED unto us.

“But FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY SEEK (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right – the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.”  (Matthew 6:33 AMP)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, take me deeper into the glory realms of Your love that I may be rooted and grounded in it.  When I pass through the waters, You are with me, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm me.  When I walk through the fire, I will not be scorched for I will not fear, with a confident knowledge that You have called me by name and I am yours completely.  Your love that fills me with the richest measure of Your divine presence will cause me to overflow and diffuse your kind of love to those who are hungry and thirsty for it that they may TASTE AND SEE THAT YOU ARE GOOD.  Thank You that it is not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit O Lord that will accomplish it in my life, in Jesus’ Name.  Amen!
