Time is precious.  Time spent with the Lord pleases Him at the same time it refreshes and strengthens us.  It is never wasted when we choose to spend it with the One we love most.

Have you ever experienced waking up in the morning with fear gripping your heart by a passing thought of what you’ve done which “seemed” to be a mistake?  It isn’t a pleasant way to wake up at all.  I just gone through this this morning.  But God Who is RICH in mercy and abounding in love, He immediately came to my rescue when I heard the alarm on my phone for my daily verse.

“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect]peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.  [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]”  (John 14:27 Amp)

Instead of going ahead of allowing fear to dig deep in me, HE snatched me out of it in an instant.  He brought me back into His refreshing presence and renewed my thinking by the power of His word.

I got out of bed and started singing praises to Him Who is worthy of it all.  I declared that He is my Shield, my Strength, my Portion, my Deliverer, my Shelter, my Strong Tower, my very Present Help in time of need.  I did it until my heart and mind were STILL knowing that HE IS GOD.

He is the PRINCE OF PEACE Who lives inside of us, how can we stay troubled?  Initially we can be anxious, but He gave us His word not to stay anxious. He said, HIS PERFECT PEACE He GAVE!  PERFECT means perfect!  It means having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics, absolute and complete.  There is nothing more to be added to it.  All we need to do is RECEIVE the PERFECT PEACE that HE has GIVEN!

The word that He has spoken is the double-edged sword.  It is a powerful and mighty weapon that He has armed us with.  It was given to equip us to face whatever our day brings and allows our minds, wills and emotions to get aligned back to it and profit from it.   We are to be quick to discern and appropriate the word proclaimed into our lives and resist those wrong, fear-inflicting thoughts that pass our minds unconsciously.

His word is a language of salvation and solution.  The Holy Spirit knows the end from the beginning.  He knows what is to come and before we can even ask, He already positioned the answers readily available at a designated moment.  How cool is that?

Before I knew it, my heart was bursting with joy that overpowered what seemed to be a fear-inflicting thought.  He graced me to redirect my focus into the Light of His presence  and soak in His perfect peace given to me and bestowed upon me.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—
    so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
    so why should I tremble?”  (Psalm 27:1 NLT)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank You for holding me tight in the palm of Your hand and never allowing anyone or anything to snatch me away from You.  Thank You for going before me to straighten my crooked paths and leveling my ways.  Thank You that as I find protection in You alone, You have pulled me immediately from the trap that my enemy has set up.  Truly, if You are with me, who can come against me?  When my enemy came in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifted up a standard against him.  It is Your breath that drives him away overwhelmingly.  Thank You, Jesus.  Amen!
